Don't know why all the negative posts on Dessers, he scored 46 goals in 2 seasons, plays nearly every game, gives everything never hides. If someone was to tell you we are going to sign a striker who is always available, will get nearly 30 goals a season score in Europe and work hard for the team, gets what the club is all about, you would take it. Signing a 5-10m striker there is no guarantee they would do a better job. Hope he stays.

Correct Hendo but I think the issue now is that Dessers may want to go rather than just some fans not wanting him. If he does I will be sad but no player bigger than club and we just need to find a replacement who can add those figures plus play the system we will be playing whoever the manager is.

Always been in the dessers camp but he injured himself last week going down like a big fairy. Happens in every game and now misses some important matches. Like the big guy but If he goes, he goes.

The guy has taken so much stick who could blame him for wanting out. As frustrating as he can be to watch I will be sad to see him go if it does transpire!

The issue of me with Dessers is not so much the goals, but his age. We are close to the point where he can drift away for almost nothing, so while stock is higher would love us to replace him with a younger version. no malice.

Think Angus might be right here, think he has his heart set on a move, and I understand, wasn't he getting boo's last season or season before from the crowd? who would want to hang about with that pi5h. always gives 100% and scores goals, albeit misses a heap of chances aswell, how does the saying go…. you don't know what you've got till it's gone.

It's because he's a terrible player, he can't hold a ball up he can't bring others into play he can't win a header, gets caught offside mostly every time, he spends more time with his hands in the air rather than play football, it actually depresses me every time he's in the team knowing I have to watch the same rubbish time after time, I keep hearing these clubs want to buy him I would happily tear his contract up so we can do the unthinkable and actually sign another striker, ah well that gets that off my chest lol.

Agree macnaughten, he has done us a turn but getting a reasonable fee should be taken, think he will want to go, last big contract, a bit of sun in Greece, away fae the madness and Greek salad on tap, rather than Scottish salad I. e sausage, bacon, black pudding etc.

I think so many people have an issue with Dessers missed chances is because we were/ are so crap defensively we can't keep clean sheets so every miss from Dessers usually means dropped points.

Spot on Lithium. Nice guy is an ok finisher but terrible centre forward for all the reasons you state but you forgot about is his regular trying to con refs into fouls and most recently ending in a ridiculous injury all of his own making.

BM 223 games 75 goals averages of 2.97 games per goal
CD 395 games 163 goals averages of 2.42 games per goal
Tho apparently miovski is the better finisher ?.

@strom I'm in Dessers camp but those statistics don't tell us anything in terms of who's the better finisher. How many chances have both had and what's their conversion rate?

Storm, you know that i rate/ like big dessers mate but i think miovski is a more natural finisher of the two but although i rate miovski, i wouldn't swap big CD9 for him, as the big fella is our top goalscorer from last season and i think if we do sign miovski on loan, i feel it will be to replace igamane, who imo will be away before this transfer window closes ?.

Dessers has played more games which means he needs more chances to score? i'm not sure how those to correlate or how you've come to that conclusion as the stats clearly say dessers has a better goals to game ratio over a larger period of games.

2.97 and 2.42 mean nothing. Stats are flawed. For a true comparison they would need to play in the exact same circumstances for the exact same length of time.
Circumstances being same league, same opponents otherwise it's just guess work.
I don't know why people rely so much on stats.
