I don't think Igamane will be a massive loss. Don't get me wrong, the boy is obviously very talented, but I get a bit annoyed at his decision making, sometimes think he needs a good kick up the arse.

I know most of this can be coached out of him, but do we have the time and patience for him to come to fruition. I believe if £15m is only the table for him, we should bite the hand off feynoord and invest in someone more experienced and ready proven. I await the backlash ?.

Iga is potentially the best player we've had in years and imo of he was given the role as main striker would get over 20 league goals and increase his value he's 1 of the few players i'd pay to go and watch.

29 Jul 2025 15:23:45
He had potential but as we all potential doesn't guarantee success.

29 Jul 2025 15:24:12
Duntocher I get what u mean. Remember we signed him and pc said he could not play due to fitness levels

Basically Ferguson and Dodds said the same

He just needs to work harder than others imo A great talent.

29 Jul 2025 15:34:48
Over 20 isn't enough though as a lot on here are demanding a 30+ goal striker. ?‍♂️.

29 Jul 2025 15:35:58
Go and watch a highlight video for him from last year. Boy does outrageous things at times. Scored an old firm winner and Europa goals. All this while being mostly played out of position in his first season in Europe.

There appears to be a thing with Gers fans at this time that they only seem to see the negatives in our players. I for one want to watch Igamane play this season because I think he gets you off your seat with excitement.

I think he will leave but I disagree about biting thier hand off. In the current market for a striker with his potential I think 15 is a decent deal and nothing more, anything less I think we are selling on the cheap.

29 Jul 2025 15:36:06
OWS I agree with you regarding Igas potential, but I'm asking can we afford to knock back £15m in the hope that his potential comes to the fore as quickly as we want or need?

29 Jul 2025 15:46:14
I think he's very good but wint miss him.

29 Jul 2025 15:53:21
If you want players like igamane you need to have patience for them to develop, luckily with him he's a instant hit and we will receive a nice profit if sold.

Not all young players coming from foreign counties will the ground running like he did. Imo if we don't have the time or patience to watch a young striker who grabbed 16 goals in his first season (quite rare) and is being valued at apparently 15 million come to fruition, there won't be many young attackers standing a chance.

29 Jul 2025 16:04:24
Agreed Duntocher! Great ROI, tidy profit, the model is working. If he's away - Thanks for the memories Iggy and all the best.

29 Jul 2025 16:05:06
Tommygun I'm not being negative about him. He has the potential to be a world class player. I'm saying can we afford to wait for his potential to come through. How many times have we watched young players with massive potential, only for them to disappear into the lower leagues etc, with no profit to the club. Making a very good profit on potential is the new direction the club is moving in.

29 Jul 2025 16:06:19
For every bit of trickery that worked there were another 5 nutmegs and tricks which didnt. I found that frustrating at times. he was a fans' favourite so got away with those whereas other players didnt. I would have liked him to stay and further his progression granted but he did need work to develop; both from us but mainly from him (you get otu what you put in? ) . I think it funny if it is Feyenoord that he is going to replace the LW they are selling as they already have 4 CFs.

29 Jul 2025 16:25:39
Reckon with hard work he will be a top player with right team in the right league

Reckon Italy could fit his football.

29 Jul 2025 16:41:04
Tav I agree 100% on that. I would also like us to blood our own lads early into the team when they show the right characteristics. It will be the only way we get our youth process right. then more young players of every nationality will come to us as they see a route to first team football and bigger leagues. it does require patience as not all hit ground running like Iga and even Curtis.

29 Jul 2025 17:23:30
Angus great idea but never works because recently we have never gone so far ahead that we can take the gamble. if a winning situation turned to a draw or loss you can imagine the immediate pressure on the managers shoulders.

the pressure to win every single game in scotland is second to none.

29 Jul 2025 18:09:20
I agree with that Angus but you can say that about the majority of players not everything will come off.

He can play anywhere across the front 3 so he wasn't played out of position imo that was just an excuse because he was poor in some games.

29 Jul 2025 18:30:45
You literally said he would not be a loss, needs a kick up the rear end and frustrates you Duntocher. I was not particularly referring to you with the negativity comment buddy, was more a generalisation. But it's hardy a positive take on the lad.

All that for a player you think has the potential to be world class.

BTW I genuinely recommend watching a highlight "you tube" on him from last season. A lot of us do this for incoming players at this time of year. Hamza has one of the best I have ever seen, highly enjoyable watch.

29 Jul 2025 18:50:01
He has that magic to win a match from nothing, Very rare at the money we paid, He does look physically inferior to others but magic feet make up for it! I'll miss watching him.

29 Jul 2025 19:49:00
Geesa sorry but that is my issue. I think we need to give young lads minutes whether we are miles ahead or not. not a lot but 10 minutes or so during a game. they will learn more than after the team have taken their foot off the pedal. not all will swim like Curtis has but until you try we won't know. we are more scared to fail in Scotland than to succeed. think of McCausland and King when they first came in and handled it well. we must have others; not all at same time.

Everton did it with Rooney his first season and he only scored 3 goals but Man Utd saw his potential.

Storm I agree but it always seemed to be the one trick and too deep. just remember it frustrated me where a normal touch and pass would have got us moving forward.

29 Jul 2025 22:07:36
Looking at his body composition I think fitness is going to be a problem for him throughout his career if he doesn't train hard on and off the pitch by the time he's 28 he will be built like the side of a hoose.
