The club are taking the mick with the price of the new strips, are they not.

Defence and Bluelight discount cards get you 15% off instore or online with Umbro giving you 20% off online.
18 Jul 2025 13:57:46
Ally, Not really mate it's roughly the same price for any team.
18 Jul 2025 13:59:57
Don't think Rangers are taking the mick, it's just the standard cost of football kits these days. They have gotten way too expensive across the board, adult tops £80/ 85 and kids tops £60/ 65.
18 Jul 2025 14:03:33
Saying that the Sunderland away top cost me £80 Rangers £105 that was pro though, think the Sunderland top and Rangers top are £60 and £80.
18 Jul 2025 14:13:02
Every team is ripping their supporters off with the price of strips. They are cheapo T Shirts and charging a minimum of £80 for one is nothing but a disgrace.
18 Jul 2025 14:14:03
Seen a post yesterday. The iconic 92 adidas top was 30 quid. with cost of inflation over the last 30 odd years that's about 80 quid in todays money.
18 Jul 2025 14:38:19
Simply don't buy them mate. Problem solved.
18 Jul 2025 15:20:58
Oh aye the
Don't buy them then that doesn't wash when you have kids wanting them etc…
I feel for families that can't afford them and have a couple of kids. It's a disgrace what all clubs do with prices not just ours.

I buy the Rangers pro home jersey also every year My star ?You should have been given your sunderland away jersey for nothing My star, as it's a red neck wearing their jersey ? Only kidding My star and you know why i'm saying that my friend ?.

Sws spending some coin mate, over 100m so far, hopefully Xhaka is next we need a few players with experience, still a very young squad, many talented youngsters before any signings this summer, expecting to be impressed with Habib Diarra, I didn't think we'd stay up but not so sure now.
18 Jul 2025 16:05:34
Ed001, I would love to hear your take on Sunderland mate.
{Ed001's Note - they are certainly going for it. It is not sustainable but I don't see that teams have any choice when they come up but to spend big or just prepare for next season in the Championship. They have bought an interesting mix of players, some I have yet to see play. It is going to be tough, but this year will be their best chance as the likes of West Ham are in disarray, so there is a very genuine chance of staying up.
It is all on the manager, he has to get those players knitted together into a team quickly as the ability is there to avoid the drop but they need to get off to a decent start. If they can stay within touching distance early on, I fancy them to get better as the season goes on and if any teams like the Hammers or maybe Brentford without Frank drop off, they have every chance of taking advantage.
Bournemouth have been plundered as well, so they could be in trouble too, though I think Iraola is good enough to deal with it.}
18 Jul 2025 16:18:29
Cheers for ?, in with a better chance than I originally thought mate.
{Ed001's Note - oh yeah it is a big surprise but I think they realise they will never get a better chance to break into the Prem.}
18 Jul 2025 17:15:59
Storm maybe learn to tell the wains the word no then mate.
18 Jul 2025 17:53:21
My star the mackems will finish way behind 'THE TOON' my friend?well at least i hope they will mate ? Good to have the Tyneside/ Weirside derby back right enough? We'll look forward to it together My star ?.
18 Jul 2025 18:48:14
Would like to think so sws Newcastle is in the top six clubs in that league mate, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City top three next season, Leeds, Burnley, West Ham championship clubs season 26/ 27 ?.
Sunderland 15/ 16th ??.
18 Jul 2025 19:25:20
Think Sunderland will be big odds to stay up star, going to take some heavy defeats in that league, staying up with a couple of big scalps would be an amazing season, add a win against Newcastle their fans will be in dreamland.
18 Jul 2025 19:43:58
I think leeds utd will definitely stay up My star ?.
18 Jul 2025 20:07:31
Need to invest then Sws, maybe just me but that is my most disliked team from anywhere south of the border, Sunderland beat them to Diarra mate, Leeds fans were fuming about that which made it all the sweeter.
18 Jul 2025 20:09:33
Cooperedad I never thought they would stay up but a far better chance now, massive fanbase they stay in that league for a couple of seasons and they could become a main stay.
18 Jul 2025 20:23:15
I'm with storm on this one, the prices are ridiculous and saying to learn to tell the kids no isn't a solution to the problem of how costly these tops are. 3-4 strips a season as well. I'm fortunate that my daughter doesn't bother with them anymore and so it's just my son. But i also feel sorry for people who struggle by.

The Sunderland manager Le Bris is a clever guy. When the rumours were flying around that we were looking at someone from France/ Championship I hoped it was him. Did really well bringing Sunderland up, outsmarted Frank in the playoffs and I'm looking forward to seeing how they do in the Prem.
Having said that, Newcastle Utd. Is my English team. ?.
