Question for anyone ITK. Was PC sacked or is he in gardening leave?
If so will we go out and pay another highly rated manager on big wages, given we might still have one on the books?
Would we then stick with BF until PC picks up another job?

He agreed to take half of what he would have been due so it must've been a clean break.

Could be a while before he picks up another job. He showed himself to be incompetent and incapable in the managers role. I think he sacked Zikos, I'm sure I remember PS eluding to that.

Yes believe it was a settlement. No manager gets full payout unless the clubs are crazy. They might be getting full pay but will not be able to accept another role while doing so.

Sacked, but he also done the club a few favours as he was aware of the financial difficulties - i. e. he accepted substantially less than he was due and also agreed for part of the payment to be delayed until the next financial reporting period.

I think questioning his competence as well is a bit ignorant. there was a lot happening in the background which it seems meant he was always fighting with one hand tied behind his back. I think that what he went through here would make him more attractive as a manager. It will be interesting to see how he gets on next time; just wrong time at our club was my take on it.

Say it once again, incompetent managers do not win back to back leagues with different teams, he won't have a problem finding his next club.

Philippe Clement isn't a bad manager
Dgers as his jobs in belgium football with two different clubs proves mate, he just didn't get Rangers and scottish football which happens all the time with manager's going to other countries to manage different clubs ?.

I am way less worried about who our next manager is than I am about our summer recruitment of players.
No matter who our manager was this season the chance of challenging for the title was very low. The squad we had was lacking in the quality and depth which is needed to play consistently across 60+ games.
It's hard to judge PC this season on what he had available. Since he left we have definitely got worse under BF but with his lack of experience it was always a difficult task for him.
The take that he did not get Scottish football is up there with the staunch argument stuff for me in that it's a nonesense. Scottish football is not particularly unique in any way.

I ageee clement is a good manager who never got the tools he needed to do the job. Shambles of a club during his time, too many vacant posts above his head. The players also badly let him down domestically.
However he also caused himself a lot of these problems with his refusal to go to 3 cms.

Koppen signed the "tools" clement approved. If Clement never got the tools to do his job then why is Koppen still in a job?

Maybe both Koppen and PC understood the state the club was in and agreed to work under serious restrictions in thier roles.
Your heading in the right direction Dgers, your not quite there yet. Go up another level and you may finally get it.
It is not the players, manager or recruitment director who are responsible for this season.

Name any other manager we've ever had that would have handed back half of his severance payment to reinvest into the club. Even the great ally mccoist took every penny after he failed as manager. I love ally by the way I'm just saying ?.

The manager probably doesn't approve the signings. that isn't blaming Koppen as it is known that we didn't sing the players who were identified in each of the last 2 windows (experienced CDM and LW search well known) possibly down to lack of funds/ cost cutting but also due to takeover. However it was about time we started to work within our budget as it couldn't continue in that way.
