A know everyone is on about gerrards team selection today but let's be honest what changed when he brung on to wide men we had a spell in the second half but jones couldn't get past his man then gets sent off ojo was sloppy with his passing and kept running the ball out of play and was out muscled at times they got there game plan right today and took there 2 chances and never let us settle on the ball that's the bottom line today we tried a narrow formation and a wide formation neither worked for us at all and we had no end product.

We need a lb badly not want to be to negative 1 game in but barasic plays lee wallace did under warburton always goes back the way never positive in possession need someone whos no scared to run with the ball and whip in a cross even defensivly thought he was poor today.

The kilmarnock left back greg taylor would be much better than barisic as our left back.

Taylor is OK but think we should aim higher than him if we want to make improvement.

We were saying the same thing during the match about Taylor. At least he was willing to carry the ball forward and try to create something. Barasic, although I think he has ability, lacks confidence. Must've played the same square or backward pass 50 times today! And when he was in a position to cross, the delivery was very poor. Ojo will have better games for us, particularly at Ibrox, but was quite static and at times didn't anticipate Killie player's movements. But, 3 points, as I mentioned earlier, was the aim today and we succeeded in getting them.

Barasic is much better than Greg Taylor, although agree was as average as rest of team today. Good 3 points but no one played good enough today.

Barasic had the potential but taylor has the desire sometimes that's what's needed desire and hunger to make the diffrence we need a confident lb like tav on the right if he don't improve needs to be moved on but see how he goes.

If you watch Barasic when playing for Croatia he hardly ever crosses the half way line. For Rangers he's asked to do the wing back job perhaps he just isn't a good wingback but a good left back.

Did we get beat 5-0 or something tonight going with the comments on here slating goldson he had very little to do in a mostly one sided game we could have took our chances yes but a don't think we ever came out of second gear tonight gerrards plan don't get beat and make sure we have a fit full squad for sunday away to kilmarnock and get ready to go in the league the that mob hardly came out there own half tonight rangers happily let them sit in and seen the tie out we need to realise we ain't going to win everymatch by 3,4,5 goals so many negative fans on here at times.

Just read there dorrans left behind had his injury problems but honestly is halliday really any better and am sure he's went without his passion for the club is he still a player that will take us forward a don't think so people like holt lafferty are judged but halliday seems to get a free pass at times love the guys passion just my opinion not good enough.

I think it's mainly down to hallidays passion on and off the field plus his ability to play all over the pitch! And his willingness to be a bit part player.

The reason i think andy halliday is wanted by gerrard is he can do a job as a squad player, in quite a few areas of the team. I agree he's not a first pick 11 player. Graham dorrans is the shock here for me, as he's a good attacking midfielder, if he is over all his injury problems. But then again doza and scotty arfield,
are pretty similar midfielders and play in the offensive midfield positions. There's no way that dorrans will get in that position in front of arfield. Scotty Arfield has been a revelation so far at rangers.
He's been a superb player for us. I really rate him very highly and a natural first team pick!

Agreed barrowlad not the greatest player but to be honest under SG he's rarely let us down when asked. Also his passion for all things Rangers must be good to have for the new players coming into the squad.

Also quite important is the fact Andy rarely gets injured. He keeps himself in shape and works hard in training, knowing he's not necessarily going to be a 1st pick, speaks volumes for the man. A few of the current squad could take inspiration from that.

Hes just had his best season in his career. he's versatile 100% commited and works his socks off everttime he's on the pitch plus he's Rangers to the core. Andy is Stevies James Milner and he looks to be developing under Gerrard, he's a no brainer squad player in my opinion.

Halliday never put a foot wrong when called upon, solid squad player. If other players had half his attitude they probably wouldn't be on their way out this summer.

Andy halliday is Andy halliday nothing special but he's more consistent under Gerrard so give the guy his dues LB he's actually half decent.

I'd have Halliday in the squad all day long, if only for his passion, never-say-die attitude and influence. I wish there were more like him. I know he is nudging 30 so maybe SG could look at giving him some sort of coaching role? He'd be a brilliant influence on the youngsters.

To big an earner for his contribution I think, probably best he moves on but if that can’t be done all he has to do is look at Halliday fighting his way back into the squad last season for inspiration. I’m sure his deal is up next summer.

I’d say the issue is Dorrans wages! Quality wise Halliday wouldn’t lace Dorrans boots but he’s hardly been fit since he came to rangers and they're probably looking him off the wage bill.

Sm I agree dorrans by far a better player than Halliday can’t believe he is still with our club and some fans lap him up just because he is a fan himself.

Exactly can't keep someone for passion a mean most of us on here have passion for rangers don't mean a should get a game no doubt halliday done ok when asked best game by far the old firm but every player did there part that day a would love him to be a better quality but sadly he ain't its a tough one u can't just keep someone for passion and the more a see our signings the less chance a see halliday getting game time this season.

Anyone else think barasic just needs time to settle seen to many players not given the chance to settle and go on to better things a mean you don't play for croatia if your not a good player its a big step from most clubs to rangers with the expectations and pressure and the style of scottish football takes getting adapted to a good pre season under his belt and we could see a better more prepared player this season.

Think that's a fair point needs to dig in more agree with that hopefully he gets the wake up call he needs because some players don't realise how lucky they are playing for a club of our size until its to late for them but definitely a player in there just needs to screw the nut and work hard imo.

Maybe the board had a plan b for this situation by naming it the hummel training centre and we can still have hummel over the stadium its just the strips we can wear am have a slight feeling rangers themselfs will design a kit which could get under the skin of some clubs and we must have made plenty of cash from kit sales this year so hummel still get there money from that just my opinion.

Behave loaning our best striker to a team what if he don't perform aswel as expected and his confidence goes only way morelos should go if we recieved a bid of over 15 million purely benefitting our club that is our no1 priority not to boost another club in france or england or any where else in the world we are not a small club my friend we are glasgow rangers.
