A conversation took place late on Sunday afternoon in the bowels of Bleak House between a club director and their current manager. The director said if Martin decided to retire in the next few weeks he would still - and always - be held up as a club legend.
The director went on to say that if Martin decided on this course of action, he would approach his good friend Steven to take over the reins until the end of the season and was confident he would do so.
Now, I'm not a great thinking man and deduction is not my strongest suit, but I am fairly positive that the Steven in question is not the Gerrard one or the Davis one. In fact I would go as far as to say the Steven whose name was dropped is of the Clarke variety.
I hope this isn't a load of keech but, as Sir Walter Smith OBE wouls say, I'm just passing on informartion that I either just heard or dreamt, I can't remember which.

Clarke also said he learned lessons from their European failure, but looking at the World Cup that kinda rings hollow. So I would take a large pinch of salt with previous statements he's made.

I'm sure Clarke would take over at Celtic in a heartbeat if it was permanent, his previous comments would be made either when he was managing another SPL club or managing Scotland and in both instances he would not want to be seen to favour either OF club. Managers don't always tell the truth they give political answers.

Clarke would take over at Celtic in a heartbeat, happy them staying the way they are at moment or even Maloney taking the hot seat but Clarke would get them organised at least, still think it's early doors and might think different in a couple of months time but we are looking like a team who are only going one way and barring injuries to our defence a think this is going to be the start of big silver things coming our way whoever they get.

Just a wee inkling. I've read his progress by accident here and there and he does seem a decent coach.

I don't care what Celtic do. I'm only concerned about Rangers. And I hope and think we have turned the tables and are now definitely heading in the right direction. I admit when we were put of European football, I was one of the first to want Derek out. But clearly I was wrong and inpatient. Long live Rangers.
