I was very disappointed when Dahl never went through last season. The boy appears to be so highly regarded and I think he would be a great addition. Just surprised that if he's that good, he'd already be away. Dahl for 9 mil or Fergie for 17? I'd be happy with any of the two or even better both! Either way, we get a cracking player.

And we are still not the highest bidder, and even that has been rejected by Motherwell.
They are being stupid here, as the player is more than willing to wait until January and sign a precontract with another club.

Rangers are not signing Ferguson, Dahl, and the young Serbian. You might get 1, at a stretch 2, but all 3 are a huge outlay in cash to strengthen 1 area of the pitch, whilst other areas need investment.

Iron, we need to strengthen all over the park, that I agree on.
But, by the looks of things, pretty much our full midfield is leaving and tbh I'm glad they are.
As it stands right now, we don't have a single midfielder who is consistent over 5 games, never mind a season.
Given the choice I'd love to sign all 3 you mentioned, but can't see it, I think it'll be the Serbian lad and 1 of Fergusson or Dahl.
And, if it's between them 2, I'd take Dahl because he has real resale value potential.

Alex, I agree fully, our midfield needs upgraded, and that costs money. I'd have Dahl and the young Serb thou who I think imo would cost less than Ferguson who I've never thought would come to Rangers at this stage in his career.
But let's see. I guess Ferguson is possible to those who think Rangers will shell out 17 million on him and it's fine to have that opinion. No issues.

Alex, the problem with our whole midfield, with a new one, is they will need time to gel & build relationships, it's far too much change for one area of the pitch & almost all are similar to what we already have, other than Dahl, they aren't forward-thinking midfielders.
I believe someone stated on here Skoglund was no longer being pursued after his visit as McInnes didn't fancy or like him & we shortly after signed McCrorie. I think it's a mistake to go into next season with McCrorie & Sterling as our RBs.
I don't think Watt strengthens us at all. Just does, simply cause we lack RWs, but Just has about the same goal involvements as Aasagaard for a team that played better football & some say were the best team in the league, still finished behind us. Both played in a certain style & won't be playing that here under McInnes. Like Storm said, Watt has had one good season to his name & has never left for a transfer fee, always free & Motherwell are wanting 4/5 million.
If we weren't interested in Lennon Miller, who was similar, then why would we pay that for a 26/27 year old?
If we wanted Penrice or if Penrice wanted to come it would have been done now as he wasn't with Scotland, why would you want to come back to Scotland? Penrice is another player that has been constantly linked with us for years cause he's a Rangers fan but he chose to stay in Greece in January & when Clement wanted him, he chose Hearts (I could be wrong & Clement wasn't allowed to buy him). Penrice was in Scotland on holiday, visiting friends & family.
We've been linked with the same for a while & if we did want them then some would be done by now but haven't, which tells me we've moved on & are looking at alternatives. It's worrying with the lack of RWs being linked as that is a position we desperately need as well as another CB or 2.

From January to the close of the window our recruitment team will have spoken to around hundreds of players and will be actively on communication with dozens.
We are now approaching the stage in the window where deals become interconnected.
For us, future deals are dependent on bringing cash in through sales, some of our sales are dependent on other clubs bringing in cash through sales, and some of our targets are dependent on clubs securing replacements.
We have already seen Victory opt to move elsewhere as McInnes prioritised an experienced defender in Godfrey - the young lad wasn't willing to risk waiting until later in the window, which is understandable.
Ideally we'd have 80-90% of the squad locked down before we head to Spain. However, as previously posted, there are 9 in-flight deals that we are pushing hard to finalise.
There is only so much the club can do early, as there are so many factors involved in terms of all clubs juggling to stay within the various financial rules and regs.

I hear the odd bit of information through a few friends who have good contacts, and I've been posting these names for a long time.
Take Dan Neil, for example. I said way back at the start of the year he was definitely signing. Most people wrote it off and, I'll be honest, I even started to doubt it myself towards the end, thinking the deal had fallen through. But my cousin's information was solid, and I shared it on here multiple times.
I also said a couple of weeks ago there would definitely be a signing. Plenty of people said it wasn't happening, then lo and behold, we announced one.
I don't hear things all the time, but when I do, I share them. I'm not afraid to put the information out there.
Four Lads and Forever have both backed up the Elliot Watt rumour that I've been mentioning for months.
I've also said for months that Rangers were very interested in Hampus Skoglund, and it later came out he'd visited the training centre.
I'm simply sharing what I hear from time to time, yet a few people now seem to want to have a go because not everything has happened immediately.
I really don't care.
It's the same with the people dismissing the Lewis Ferguson rumours, saying there's absolutely no chance it happens, when there's still every possibility that it could.
In my defence, I genuinely thought this was a rumours and speculation page, not a page just for players who are definitely signing. If I'd known that, I'd have posted differently.

DJB Lennon Miller had no interest in coming to Rangers, so it may have been the case that Rangers were interested but got told no.

There's only one person that says there is no chance of him signing, Stig, as he knows his agent. I am just taking an educated guess, as I am thinking with my head and not my heart, unlike some who think he will come.

Cerny would be an option, but probably a sizeable fee plus wages, and very small chance of recouping our outlays.

Dan Neil is the only player I've ever posted about and said I'd heard for definite was signing.
I've never claimed that any of the other players I've mentioned through rumours were definitely signing.
I just wanted to make that clear. 👍
All names above are just rumours I keep hearing about - nothing else.
If they come off then they come off, if not we move on and look forward to what we actually bring in.

All rumours, right or wrong, are good and well received. If anything, they direct you to do a wee bit of research elsewhere. In some cases, that's how and where you find foreign information on our foreign interests. If it turns out a player doesn't sign or there wasn't any concrete interest, then so be it.
This wee forum gives me my daily dose of hope and belief. Without it, the transfer window would be a wee bit less interesting. Keep the info flowing, lads. We're all on the level.

Asked tonight. Definitely last year, get sense it's more of a Shankland type thing, can't be held to it but club using in their favour publicly.
He's also just returned from holiday and Motherwell's first European game only a couple weeks away, so it will be a lot clearer what's happening with him soon.
Remember, if he plays he will be cup tied and no good to Rangers for Europe.
