Couple of moves happening across Europe that will have a knock on impact on us.
Shaping up to be a fun run in towards the end of the window.
21 Aug 2026 20:02:43
Ehl, in a good way I hope. 🇬🇧
21 Aug 2026 20:03:52
Which ones in particular do you think affect our business, mate?
21 Aug 2026 20:11:41
Tell me you mean Ognjen Ugresic is happening, Ehl :).
21 Aug 2026 20:17:55
Ooooooh, Ehl - you big tease you. 😂
21 Aug 2026 20:22:45
Give some snippets of info, please Ehl.
21 Aug 2026 20:33:17
Taking a stab at it I'd say it is Bayern Leverkusen selling their cb, so now are in for Manny, and Villa making a few sales, so are now coming in for Raskin.
21 Aug 2026 20:41:18
Absolutely Ehl.
21 Aug 2026 21:13:42
Jayden Oosterwolde from Fenerbahce to Roma would maybe confirm interest in Daniele Ghilardi, as Roma are supposedly keen to move him on.
21 Aug 2026 21:27:40
This is us getting to the business end of the window then, lads.
21 Aug 2026 21:28:55
I've never known Rangers to have any good outcomes in the transfer window last min.
21 Aug 2026 21:33:51
It's always busy at the end of the summer window. Just read an article talking about Rangers signing a player, saying the window shuts in a few days, it's a fortnight today until it shuts.
21 Aug 2026 21:34:43
Villa will be a bad move for Raskin.
21 Aug 2026 21:40:53
Kent last minute best bit of late business we've done.
21 Aug 2026 21:58:55
Barry Ferguson's return was last minute back in the day. I think he done alright!
Maybe before your time tho', TJBB.
21 Aug 2026 22:34:07
Kent was a waste of money.
Was a bad signing imo.
21 Aug 2026 22:41:40
Kent was not a waste of money, that is utter rubbish.
21 Aug 2026 22:43:59
I'm old, so unlikely before my time lol, I'm nealry 10 years older than BF, I'm talking about recent times we just don't seem to get things over the line. I'm just scunnered, folks, so sorry if I'm coming acorss as a wet blanket. Murray has a lot to answer for imo.
21 Aug 2026 22:55:11
All the above are open source rumours on multiple media platforms. Manny and Raskin.
21 Aug 2026 22:57:52
My star, could you explain why it would be a bad move to move to a Premiership club for Raskin?
21 Aug 2026 23:09:26
Dr, because Raskin will struggle for a place on the bench for clubs in the top half of the EPL, moving to a club in the top 6 is a bad move. imo.
21 Aug 2026 23:26:58
I don't see Raskin going to Villa with the midfielders they now have, but he would do a job at a lot in EPL, Palace, Fulham, Brighton etc.
21 Aug 2026 23:30:18
CR, cool mate. That's my opinion and I know most fans feel the same when his name comes up.
21 Aug 2026 23:49:51
Stevie G, that's a wild take - Kent instrumental in our 55 season - and reaching the Europa League final the following year - with the Dortmund boss describing him as unplayable.
What must you think of the current crop struggling to qualify for the Conference if Kent is rubbish?
I've watched a lot of your comments on here, and frankly, you're either on the wind up or miles off it.
22 Aug 2026 00:00:43
Tjb. Yes, Murray has a lot to answer for, but he showed us the type of player we could only ever have dreamt of, and they played for the famous, Gazza, Butcher, Gough, Hayley to name but a few. The introduction of the Souness and Murray era transformed Scottish football forever, yes the whole tax mess fecked us but remember at the time those deals were legal, with other clubs using things like film studios to offset monies. He showed us the dream, and we have never recovered since the downfall, and at this stage I don't see us ever reaching those giddy heights again.
But one thing we must also remember is we were cheated by Marseille (spelling) in the cup final by their dodgy antics. However, Murray stated "We lost on the night, we are not looking to take the trophy." And as a side note the stars in the CL are in respect to the founding teams of which we were one. Sorry, went off on a tangent there.
22 Aug 2026 01:01:16
That team with Kent in it would destroy our team just now. The once touch football we played was class. We had Celtic beat as well.
22 Aug 2026 01:29:45
Kent was overpriced and overrated then.
How's that? Is that better worded?
The money at that time he cost us could've been spent on better for that position.
What's he done since he left and what did he do before?
Absolutely zero. He's not a good player, lads, and yous can kid yourselves in that he is all yous want.
He's piss poor.
He had good games. But his numbers were terrible, his decision making was poor, and imo his best attribute was actually his work ethic and high pressing. Not his actual attacking play.
22 Aug 2026 01:53:49
That's got to be the worst statement ever! His best attribute was his work ethic and high pressing. Deary me.
22 Aug 2026 03:03:08
Kent was a bad signing? Jesus Christ. He'd still be the best player at the club.
22 Aug 2026 06:08:32
I'm with you, Shagger. Absolutely ridiculous comment. Kent on it was tremendous, always had at least two men on him. His downside mainly was the fact his final ball or decision making sometimes was frustrating.
I can't believe the pelters Kent gets, honestly I'd have him in a heartbeat again. I'd actually go all out for him and Abada right now, two wingers that have genuine ability to take men on and tricky as hell.
22 Aug 2026 06:47:41
Never was the phrase "there's a good player in there but." used more than with Kent. Yes, on his day he was tremendous, but those days were often months apart. Never liked his attitude much either, and it's one of the reasons he's struggled everywhere since.
Who cares where Raskin goes? As long as it's a good deal for us that's what matters.
22 Aug 2026 07:22:43
Stevie G talking pants again. What is it with our fan base, honestly man? No wonder we're pish, got fans just accepting 2nd, 3rd best now and people talking crap about players who won an important league and carried us to a European Cup final. Kent's been our best winger in about 10-15 years, simple as that.
22 Aug 2026 07:36:56
Kent has been our best winger in 15 years?
Deary me. 😂😂
Cerny, Sima both better right off the bat.
It's amazing how players get better when they leave the club, isn't it.
22 Aug 2026 08:12:08
Ryan Kent is one of the best wingers we have had in the last 15 years, naming two players you think are better doesn't make him a bad signing 😂
22 Aug 2026 08:34:59
I always thought Ryan came across as being a bit simple.
Did he bring his crocodiles back from America?
22 Aug 2026 08:50:29
Stevie G
Cerny and Sima better wingers than Kent?
What did those two win, a Rangers jersey, or any jersey in fact?
Kent was instrumental in winning us 55, and the beggars were scared off him, and he was also only about an inch away from making himself immortal in Seville.
The other two, the beggars actually laughed at us about them.
You must be at the wind up.
22 Aug 2026 08:54:00
Kent had 57 assists in 318 games and 33 goals. Not bad. That's more assists than Maeda, for example, in roughly the same games.
With a limited budget, Rangers could look at Kent, he's free. One of Gerrard's title-winning team, and a Europa League finalist with the club. Couldn't have been that bad eh?
22 Aug 2026 09:27:55
Kent is 29 and hasn't kicked his arse for years.
Rumour is he is a taxidermist now. That's where his passion lies.
He was good for us though overall I think.
22 Aug 2026 09:28:05
Ryan Kent was good in Europe and against Celtic, but was poor against the lesser teams domestically, from what I remember. I also remember a lot of fans being scunnered with him for losing the ball a lot when trying to be tricky and not tracking back. I have no idea where yous are getting this hero version of Ryan Kent. In fact, I remember him being booed at home to Lyon for costing their first goal after another failed run, losing the ball, just stopping dead, and the lad that won the ball ran up the park and assisted, a familiar tail for Kent.
This is a familiar story with fans, some crying for Dessers back too, the same one that was horrendously criticised but now apparently shouldn't have sold. Same story with Gio, with Clement. We booed these guys and now are saying we should have backed them.
Stevie G is right. You can't have it both ways, boys. You reap what you sow.
22 Aug 2026 10:28:39
Gerrard Gers slaughtered by half tous that are praising Kent here. It's hilarious.
Gerrard was a failure n Kent's a world beater.
I'm absolutely shocked at how strongly yous are in your defence of Kent.
He was posted missing for 5/6 games at a time.
Cerny is a better player than Kent is in his own dreams and Sima too. Not really my opinion, that's a pretty fair comment to make.
The guy is simply not a good player, it's literally that simple.
He nearly scored in the final. Aye, well so did Ramsey then lol.
Superally, Kent cost £7m and finished up on over 50k a week pal.
The fact you're telling us he was free tells me all I need to know about your opinion.
22 Aug 2026 10:42:40
If you don't think Cerny is a level up from Kent, fair enough, all I can say is deary dear.
22 Aug 2026 10:56:21
So are you saying Gerrard played an awful player as his starting left winger every year he was at the club?
A winger who plays 40+ games a season and gets double figures in goals and assists each year is not a poor signing, "It's literally that simple".
22 Aug 2026 15:42:06
Stevie Kent was a good signing. He had a terrible last season where he chucked it. Just because he's done nothing since he left doesn't take away from the fact he was a top player for us on his day.
One of the best players in an unbeaten league title. Remember, it's our only league winning side in 15 years, so God knows how bad everyone else has been if you don't rate Kent.
One of the best players in a run to the Europa League final.
Always ran Celtic riot.
Was he perfect? No. But I'd kill to have 20/21 Kent in our team right now.
22 Aug 2026 18:08:47
At one point, Kent was one of the best wingers in Europe, never mind Scotland; he ripped BVB a new one. But in terms of longevity, this is where he fails. Kent at his best is better than Cerny, Sima, and all other wingers I have seen in over 10 years. The problem is after 55 he fell off.
