I have been told of a contact at the club that we are looking to have at least a LW and CB and Striker in before the close of window.
LW - Min-su Kim
ST - Kelsy if that fails then Maswanhise
CB - Not heard the names but they want a LCB.
From what i have heard Souttar has not played as he has had a slighy niggle since returning from WC and we don't want to affect his sale so this is why we have not selected him.

Gassama, absolutely no argument, is definitely talented. It's his attitude at times that's in question, never his ability. đ¤ đŦđ§

Neil, even so, we only have one left-footed centre-back in Nsiala, and he'll probably go. I think we still need to bring at least one in for that position.
Kissthebadge, Gassama was good in that game but I'm personally still not sure about him. If he stays, then I do hope he can improve, as he does have good qualities.

Gassama's ability is in question in my opinion, last season when he played, he continuously tried to beat the same man, refusing to release the ball, then ultimately lost it. I hope he continues to play better, but he's not been consistent enough just now to say his ability is great.

I think unplayable is a bit of a stretch. When on his game he's a good player, but if someone makes a reasonable offer, I think we should take it. Too inconsistent and terrible decision making!

He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Say he says 'yes, it's a real worry which needs addressed', do you think Manny and Makhanya are going to burst a gut for McInnes this season? Even worse, what if we don't sign somebody and our defence is as good as it gets? Got to take what the gaffer says with a pinch of salt.
What I say behind close doors and what / how I say things to my staff are completely different.

McInnes said centre back not a priority. If we were to sign Amario Duberry, Kelsey, and steal Mikey Moore on loan, I think we would be looking really good going into the season, but that's wishful thinking. đ

I'll be honest, Maswanhise will not work as a striker for us, especially a lone one for us. He might work out on the wing, but I think he's too lightweight. He fell off a cliff in the second half of the season due to teams leaning on him & being more physical with him.
Don't want Kelsy either, tbh, think it's too much money for the MLS player. Would rather push the boat out for Beljo for Zagreb, but with us out of Europa then the chances are very slim.

I see, Bobby. The Portuguese clubs unfortunately seem to be common competitors for the calibre of player we often try to sign. Silas Andersen going to Sporting is another example.

I'd like an older more experienced CB. Someone who can organise and who has more of a brain. Davie Weir mould. A dependable sort who can bring on the players round about him.

Former Rangers manager target Farioli (we chose Martin instead) has built a superb, talented young team at Porto. He cleared out the older players, banked a hefty transfer chest, then spent that on quality young players that have all increased in value, and won the Portuguese league comfortably in his 1st season playing his style of football, solid defence and superb on the attack.
He is young, very ambitious, and his teams go all out for him. He is an excellent manager. Can see why Liete has chosen Porto.
