Not a player I know of, but I think we still need a quality starter for LW and RW, with Gassama and Yokota being the depth from the bench. On that basis, I think the move for Duberyy looks much more exciting than this one.
I worry this would mean Gassama is our 1st choice, and I personally think he's still better finishing games than he is starting them.
Is this guy clearly better than Cortes was, is my main question?

Do people have absolutely no faith in Findlay Curtis or is he invisible lol? He keeps getting completely omitted from conversations about wingers, out of the three wingers we have (not including Ross McCausland, who's likely surplus to requirements) he's got the best end product and is comfortable on either side. I'm personally quite excited to see him play for us this year because I think he can come on considerably if he does, he's always buzzing about looking to make things happen.
I've also been hugely critical of Gassama, but if he continues to perform like he did on Sunday, then things aren't as desperate as we've been making out and we maybe only need one winger in.
It doesn't necessarily matter what side, as Curtis covers both. Minor adaptations in Gassama's decision making and he'd have been outstanding, that mainly constitutes playing simple passes to Penrice, and I'm sure Derek McInnes will be pointing that out. If he can keep that up and learn when to keep it simple, there's potentially an excellent creative outlet down the left with either full back we have there. Whether he can keep it up is another matter, but he has it in him. He looked motivated, which I felt was new. Half my issue was him being anonymous then sulking when subbed, but he's definitely talented.

I'm with you, Zungu. Curtis will get better and better. If I could choose any of our wingers to be one on one or have a shot, it'd be Curtis.
Not overly impressed by what I've seen of Mena. Seems like another squad filler rather than best in the league in his position and that's what we need.

I'd be very concerned that we are running the risk of all of our wingers being the exact same type of player. Would personally like them to sign 2 wingers with more power and ability to carry the ball at pace with strength.
The same goes for the boy from Brighton. Talented players, but really limits our ability to change style with the wingers.
Justin Njinmah, Fares Ghedjemis, Cyriaque Irie, Lewis Koumas and Sinclair Armstrong would be better options.

Zungu, why would we have faith? Gassama was here last year and was great for the odd game and terrible in the majority. I don't blame DM for wanting another LW, as the competition for places will either spur the lad on to listen and bring consistency or it will go the complete other way and he is sold.
Nobody forgets we have Curtis, but do we forget the game against Dundee United when he was awful. I really like the young lad, and he either needs another loan or accept sub appearances. I don't think at his age he can be consistent enough at the level required to be a starter week in week out.

Bigbluejim, I wasn't talking about having faith in Gassama, I was talking about Curtis, it's the fact people are completely neglecting to mention Curtis as being an option as a winger that's why I'm asking if people have no faith in him.
Not going to argue about Gassama, I thought we were mental to turn down £10million for him because he was absolutely sh*te last year for the most part, and his attitude did not impress.
Do I have faith he will perform like he did this past Sunday for the rest of the season? No. Would I be happy if he did? Absolutely.

Zungu, I really like Curtis, but don't think he's a winger, he's a striker with potential. The boy would run through walls for us, but not what we need on the wings. As long as he keeps getting minutes and applying himself consistently, he will go far in the game. Hope he knuckles down and turns into a proper athlete.
