There isn't a lot in it between Barron and Devlin. I'll tell you what though, the downgrade from Raskin to every other CM is startling. If he goes, we need a replacement.

I'm sure it was said that Barron had a minor recurrence of an injury during one of the preseason games. I think it was a behind-closed-doors game, and there was concern he may need surgery. He might be training, but not fully fit to play yet, even if just precaution.

Devlin is probably a wee bit busier than Barron, but he's nowhere as good on the ball, and I don't think Barron is great on it either, but he's better than Devlin. We've really got an issue with our CM's, especially if we're only playing 2, cause none of them pass the ball forward anywhere near quick enough or accurate enough to get us on the front foot quickly.
If you play 3, you can have a Devlin in there, but what Devlin does well requires no skill, they should be all like Devlin in regards to application and work rate.

My Star, that is what I meant, I totally agree Barron is a far better player. If Barron is worth £8million to a top division Spanish club, then surely he is good enough to play in and improve this mediocre Rangers team.
People have been pointing out Robbie Ure going there for £5.5million and saying this proves he was good enough to play for us, so we've got Barron, why aren't we trying to keep him? He was our best player last season before his injury.
