If Cerny doesn't come heard from good source it's Nazar Voloshyn we are going for, also the Algerian boy isn't true.

31 Jul 2026 23:21:40
If it is Voloshyn from Dynamo Kiev valued at £4.3m, his stats are played 1972 minutes, 5 goals, 8 assists. Just a bit underwhelming, but obviously would give him a chance 🤞🏻. He would be as good as the last Ukrainian players we had.

31 Jul 2026 23:28:50
Awful scouting.

31 Jul 2026 23:32:41
If he's anything as good as the last Ukrainians to play for us he'll do alright.

31 Jul 2026 23:48:09
I'd love to see us go with orthodox wingers at some point. Really thought DM would. Game today was chronic. I'm fed up of Gassama having one trick and constantly cutting inside. We look very underprepared and unbalanced as a squad, to my untrained eye. Would be nice to hit the ground running for a change!

01 Aug 2026 00:19:08
Gassama is garbage, simple as that.
The guy's no better than Matondo, imo. Works harder. That's it.

01 Aug 2026 00:28:34
A right footed right winger, no thanks.

01 Aug 2026 01:43:52
The manager is crying out for signings. We need upgrades all over the park.

01 Aug 2026 03:48:04
The manager has had eight signings. This, on top of the player assets he had to work with from last season. Even so, he still can't beat Dundee United, who are going through a rebuild just as big as ours, and they don't even have any money.

01 Aug 2026 06:35:02
Player assets from last season? Bit early in the morning for straight up lies, is it not. 🤣🤣

01 Aug 2026 07:10:11
Last night was disappointing. It was a poor performance which showed we are still lacking real quality.
We still created no real clear chances.
Gassama was piss poor.
Naderi didn't link with Shankland at all.
So it was no surprise they both went off.

It's obvious that we need wide players, we all know this, and it will happen, but who we get is my worry.
The players were linked to none, bar Cerny, really stands out to me.

Aasgaard took his goal well.
But he still went missing a majority of the game.
Godfrey didn't look happy going off, it looked to me like this is an injury he's had before.
Personally I thought Diomande wasn't great last night.

Overall disappointing start but not a complete surprise.
Still a long way to go in the window. A lot will change in the next 4 weeks.

01 Aug 2026 07:16:00
I think the Algerian right winger Ghedjemis would be a superb signing for us, but I think he'll be more likely to sign for them than us. ☹️ We need 2 game changing right wingers and a left winger imo. 🤔

01 Aug 2026 07:19:01
Play like That for the next 4 weeks and it's curtains already.

01 Aug 2026 07:36:15
Gotta spend big on two wingers at least, I beg, I can not go through another season with RM position being so useless.

01 Aug 2026 07:47:49
I really worry about Shankland. His mobility is poor. His best asset is his finishing, and without quality wingers, he won't get the opportunity to show that. He needs to be told to just stay between the posts. Let the other lads run about and create. Fingers crossed for some quality additions out wide, or it's going to be another long season.

01 Aug 2026 08:02:24
Thought Shankland was unlucky with the back heel and was in position a few times for cutbacks. Also did well for the goal. Every manager we've had has said we need to be braver. You could see the first 15 of the second half a bit more urgency. Without Ferry, United wouldn't have had a single chance imo.
There's more to come in.

01 Aug 2026 08:30:28
It was still a Dundee outdoor team. We should be putting away, no excuses, we have multiple millions of pounds players all over the park who continually go missing.
Typically another defensive injury season just kicked off.
A lot of the players we are pinning our hopes on.
Where's the problem? Last season just not good enough.

Gassama is one.
No end product can beat a player, yeah.
But he fluffs it 80 percent of the time.

As a team you can see we lack.
And honestly, first game of the season or not, we just ain't good enough as a whole.
We should be winning these games.

2 points dropped already.

01 Aug 2026 08:37:24
Think you're pretty much bang on here, Baz, decision making at key moments & lack of defensive discipline cost us, had Chermiti cut that ball back, the reaction wouldn't be so ott.

Recruitment in wide areas, defensive strengthening & creative spark is required - all hopefully done asap.

01 Aug 2026 08:39:05
We have the best midfielder in Scotland "Raskin". If he's back training, he should be playing! He could have made a world of difference last night linking play.
Until an offer is accepted for him, we should be playing our strongest team.
We shouldn't be selling wingers unless we have replacements lined up ready to go.

01 Aug 2026 09:12:00
Aye, Newquay, it's aw Raskin's fault.

01 Aug 2026 09:13:25
Don't think we have much money to spend, I understand we need to sell because of having a bloated squad, but again that's our issue, quantity rather than quality with players on big money not willing to move. But so far, our recruitment looks woeful, Godfrey was injury prone before he came, hamstring injured again, Neil came on in the 2nd half, hardly heard his name mentioned, Devlin headless chicken.

McCrorie better with Tav. 😁 I fear our European game on Thursday may come too early.

01 Aug 2026 09:25:33
I haven't seen any link at all regarding our interest in the ukranian winger voloshyn 🤔

01 Aug 2026 10:05:37
Storm, he never said it's Raskin's fault. He has a point that if Raskin hasn't been sold he should be playing. We're still paying his wage. Not that I thought Dahl was coming here, but he is the best example of the poster's point. Much transfer speculation re Dahl, but his club is still playing him.

01 Aug 2026 10:32:54
We ain't winning any league title with Dio, and Gassama in the team.
If Del has stated that he wants Dio to stay then that is a massive mistake in my opinion.

McCrorie was turning back all the time instead of pressing forward.
Chermiti is never aware of who is supporting him in the box and being able to make the right pass.

01 Aug 2026 10:41:17
He only got back the other day bar so how should he be playing? It's ridiculous.

01 Aug 2026 10:52:35
I went last night.

We are an absolute mess.

Was happy to see the manager call out the recruitment team. It's been all over the place.

We need quality, not inexperienced loan players etc in the main areas needing strengthening.

01 Aug 2026 11:07:13
We lack pace and intensity going forward, we lack creativity and guile in the midfield, we lack a sharp and cutting edge up front. Until we stop bringing in a quantity of players, start recruiting a lesser number, but increase the quality of the players, then nothing will change.

01 Aug 2026 11:19:34
The point I was making, Storm, is that the poster didn't blame Raskin. That's in your head. It's not what the post said. But I'm sure you knew what I meant.

01 Aug 2026 11:53:28
It's a ridiculous point the guy made, he is just back and not fit, obviously you know the point am making.

01 Aug 2026 11:53:55
We really need goalscorers, not just the strikers, but from all over the park, Chermiti and Naderi aren't good enough, give Miovski a run in team if we aren't signing any strikers, as with Chermiti and Naderi, we will struggle, Shankland may get goals, but I don't think he will be prolific, we signed him a couple seasons too late.

01 Aug 2026 12:00:46
I'm surprised our midfielders never had neck injuries last night, watching the ball getting shelled over their heads all game.

01 Aug 2026 12:09:53
Everyone is pissed off after last night, just as McInnes will be.
But I also think people need to calm down, we're not going to be a completely different team after a few weeks of pre season.

The manager needs backing from the board and the stands here.
We need to get guys out the door, but folk writing off players after a single game is crazy.

01 Aug 2026 13:06:46
Let's be honest, McInnes got the starting line up wrong and by the time he attempted to fix it, we were a goal down and had wasted 45 minutes. There is no way Diomande should have started in central midfield, especially having signed three new players to play there, and Naderi's role of drifting off the right had never been used before, and didn't work.

That left a huge space on the right that a Tavernier might have used, but Sterling was never going to. The team was a shambles and disorganised. I have to say, too, I like Big Manny, but if a £20million offer comes in, I would sell and let him make his mistakes elsewhere. He thinks he can stroll through games, and he's not good enough to do it.

01 Aug 2026 13:48:49
If we pish for the Algerian, don't see why we won't get him.
