Before the World Cup, I'd have thought we'd be doing well to get £15m, but he's proved to be able to cut it now on the biggest stage.

He's not playing for a top 6 team in the PL in my opinion. He's not disciplined enough. He'll get caught out all over the place. Unpopular opinion, most likely, but he's not a top PL midfielder or anywhere near close to it.

TKF, from what I heard earlier, more teams have come in for him and wages + transfer fees are going up based on World Cup. He had the most ball recoveries in the whole tournament while he was playing and didn't look out of place with 50+m players, so I'd imagine what I've heard to be near spot on.

Mustcatin, we were told on here with absolute certainty that the deal to secure Raskin's exit from the club had been verbally agreed before the World Cup, and the only thing left to do was to put pen to paper and sign it off to make it formal.
I'm not surprised he has a lot of suitors after the World Cup he's had, but if the deal had been agreed as we were told, then his performances don't change the price we agreed, and the new suitors have missed the boat.
Unless, of course, no deal had been agreed at all.

Raskin knows where he wants to go, it's just a matter of time and patience for the various prerequisites to click into place.

I suspect Raskin will go to the EPL. He's desperate to play there. I doubt it will be Villa. More likely Hull or Crystal Palace.

Him playing in a team in the last 8 of the WC is absolutely irrelevant. If it matters, then all players who reached the QF with their countries could be playing for the big 6 in England? Not a chance. He's miles off that standard imo.
I don't know what Raskin you're watching, but domestically in Scotland, he's been bang average to poor most of the time bar a 4/5 month period when the pressure was off and the season was over.

If Rangers have a 12m buyout then just forget the whole process because that would be criminal.
I believe Villa is the club. I believe the deal is done. I hope to God it's close to 30m plus 5m on.
If it's not (forgetting a s**** buyout), then again, we are a failure @ selling.
But our American owners are far better at this than we ever were. So fingers crossed.

My Star, I think the wee man would be extremely confident after this WC to get playing time and would far rather play for a better team than say a Hull and chase another move.
That might prove wrong for him, but I think he has that confidence. He also has a very well balanced and mature outlook.
