Why would Chermiti be worth 25m? Let's be honest, that's fantasy money for a player that has flattered to deceive. I hope we do get it, but the club will likely just be happy to get their money back on what was a huge gamble in the first place.

Locher cause he's 22 & has bags of potential plus scored 15 goals in his first season with us, best goals per minute in the league, but he flattered to deceive. Our next top scorer was Tav, I pretty sure.

We paid £8 million because he was from the English PL. There's little chance of him going for £25 million. Be lucky to get £16 million for him. I'm not sure where these valuations come from.
It's the SPFL these guys are playing in. Raskin's value may have been inflated slightly, as he's had some game time at the World Cup. Still can't see much more than about £15 million bids for him.

With the Chermiti to Lyon, I think personally it's just talking to please their fans and perhaps bump up his price. My reason is that Lyon did get a 70ish million input, but it's to temporarily balance the books as they are currently in 700 million debt, so I think it's buy players and try to sell big.
I don't think they would be allowed to do a 25 million transfer under their circumstances.

I don't think we get any more than 17m for Chermiti. 7/8m is justifiable for Braga, he just got POTY. Gutted we aren't getting him, but according to our fans, the last time I mentioned this, he wasn't good enough for Rangers. ??♂️

Thomas Delcourt only says OL are monitoring Chermiti which is exactly what another couple of sources say. The rest of his piece (in French) is mainly around Chermiti's strengths and weaknesses and why OL would be interested. They need to replace Kendrick, so, like in Scotland, the rumour mill is very active.

What's the prize for getting a lot for Chermiti? A trophy? Seems I'm missing something. From what I know, the club aren't in need of the money, and from what I have seen, he's absolutely brilliant, with unlimited potential.
I'm going to put this out there.
Wouldn't it be nice to keep our best players and try and win a league? Also, if he has a full season fit, and with a better manager and calibre of player around him, then it'll be 50m, not 17 (with 25% of the uplift due to Everton).

I really doubt these people that talk down our player fees at the start of the season are indeed Rangers fans sometimes, especially when you see the fees Celtic get.
It's one thing to think mo player is worth modern fees, but you also need to respect the market rates and try to get what others are getting.
Think small and you will be small, or receive small fees.

Forever, so giving an opinion that's different to yours makes you a non Rangers fan. Think of it another way would you be happy for Rangers to shell out 25m on Chermiti after the season he's had. Maybe if we hold onto him and he ends up SPL top scorer and bangs a few in in Europe then maybe your talking they kind of numbers.
