I'm surprised Rangers would make any money from this deal. Hull City need to unload players to balance the books for FFP rules, isn't that right? It's one of the main reasons this deal is happening. If they get £3m for Butland, would that go against them when it comes to FFP?

RWC, if they get 6m in and only outlay 3m, then that's a net gain of 3m for their FFP, which, coupled with the other 5m they've received elsewhere, should leave them clear.

Good luck to Butland, and pleased we could do the Pandur deal quickly and for good value. This definitely shows the club is getting more 'switched' on regarding transfers, and coupled with Gordon shaping up to be an excellent 48hrs.

We're getting an international keeper, who played pretty much every game last season, was part of a promotion winning team, he's only 26, is valued at £10 million, we're paying £6mill and receiving £3mill for Butland, so effectively he's costing us £3mill?
Sounds like good business! And he can't be that band if he was a regular no1 for a promotion winning Championship side, can he?
Hopefully, we've won a watch! Or a world class keeper.

But looks like it's only 3m plus 3m for Butland, so even better, as Pandur was valued at 10m and we are getting decent money back for Butland. Fingers crossed he turns out to be a bargain.
