The big changes coming at the end of the season that the guys in the know were saying was coming won't be Danny Rohl leaving Rangers as i'm totally convinced he's staying as our head coach for next season. ?
So i'd assume the changes might well be Rohl's backroom team, with a new assistant possibly replacing the departing German assistant who allegedly wants out at Rangers. ?
Rohl obviously has the absolute trust/backing of our owner/chairman andrew cavanagh and are well down the road for plans/signings for next season. ? Recruitment has to be very good to give Danny Rohl the very best chance possible of bringing trophies back to our great club. ?
Onwards and upwards and i'm delighted we won't have this continual upheaval, of changing manager's after only a short time at the helm ?We just can't keep doing that and sticking by Rohl for next season is absolutely the correct decision for me. ???

Hopefully, Danny can learn from all his big mistakes and win something next year then.
If it's not a good start to the season, then it will be the usual October/November Manager Hunt.

Nobody seems to respond to this. Any info, people? Was talking to a relative of Elliot Watt and he said Rangers enquire about a 1.2m move for him. Anyone here any more info on this? Or have they been hearing anything themselves? Watt's dad apparently a huge Rangers fan.
08 May 2026 15:54:40
Watts has been good this season, but I'd fear he wouldn't be good under Rohl's system.
08 May 2026 16:15:12
So Rohl is staying, Coops? How do you know this?
08 May 2026 16:20:32
Danny in his press conference certainly did come across like he's staying and there's going to be some changes in the staff, but what I got from it is the changes to the leadership group is the biggest thing.
Like it very much sounded like he was fed up with certain players.
08 May 2026 16:42:26
It was interesting when he was asked if there were still issues with egos, and he didn't shoot it down, he said that he was still trying to instill that it's about the team and a club, not an individual, which says to me that the egos remain!
08 May 2026 16:43:52
With Rohl stating he is staying, can see squad full of weak hearted Nordic players & third rate Germans,
Should be aiming higher, but let's give him 2 or 3 windows, both Celtic & Hearts will be out of sight by then.
08 May 2026 17:00:50
If he is bringing in a new assistant, I would like to see Maurice Ross considered. I like his tactical breakdown during commentary and think he would be a good member of the staff.
08 May 2026 17:02:47
He's another bad appointment, I'm afraid. We can keep going down this road of hoping or face reality.
08 May 2026 17:12:14
Forever, From what others have said, we are more interested in Just than we are Watt, but who knows, I'm fine with Watt signing but also don't care if he we don't. No idea about him, who in his family is Scottish or how he wound up in the Scottish youth sides. Only know he supports Chorley.
08 May 2026 17:13:58
What a bizarre thing to say, Jasp.
08 May 2026 17:26:54
I agree, gersgirl. And I get the feeling that Gassama could be one of them. I don't get a good feeling about his attitude just observing his body language. I'd be interested to hear others' thoughts.
08 May 2026 17:42:01
imo he's definitely leaving.
08 May 2026 17:45:22
Dr is never going to say he's leaving until the season ends. More than likely he'll still be here, but I wouldn't be jumping on 'he's staying' because of a question asked.
08 May 2026 18:14:12
Don't believe everything we hear in a press conference, Gerrard told us he was happy at Rangers three weeks later gone.
08 May 2026 18:19:55
I kinda think Rohl is staying. If he did, or hinted at leaving, our summer plans/targets/pre-season would be thrown into chaos by having to get a new Manager/coach in. I do think he has made mistakes, but feel he deserves the summer window to clear out some of these overpaid, overrated, poor-performing players & see how he does with a squad more full of his own signings & targets.
Only then can he quite rightly be judged on results & performances.
08 May 2026 18:37:22
Exactly, John, I don't get why people take what is said in pressers as gospel. He isn't going to come out and say (with 3 games remaining) that he is looking to leave.
08 May 2026 18:47:14
He's already been planning new signings with Andrew Cavanagh, that's why I think it's certain he's our manager for next season, absolutely no doubt for me. ?
08 May 2026 19:01:10
Nobody knows what will happen next season, but under Rohl I'm anything but confident.
Obviously, hope I'm eating my words and I'll be the first to admit I was wrong and will have no issues in doing so.
The guy is full of red flags for me though.
08 May 2026 19:13:32
Walter, we will just stop posting what we hear.
He has never sat in a meeting with the owner re signing a player. The recruitment team does not include the owner, he funds it.
08 May 2026 20:25:40
Danny Rohl isn't actively looking to leave Rangers, nor are Rangers actively looking to replace the manager. However, I'm led to believe we will not stand in his way if an approach comes from the Bundesliga.
Steven Gerrard will be Rangers' next manager.
He was the American's first choice when Martin was sacked, that's who they will turn their attention to.
08 May 2026 21:29:57
Danny Rohl might walk away. His family haven't relocated to Glasgow and are still in Germany. Wolfsburg are rumoured to be interested in him too, which might appeal. Danny Rohl has done a fantastic job since arriving and done wonders with RM's squad.
If he wants to stay, he deserves next season with his own team. If he goes, we need a proven manager who'll be at the club for 3-4 years and money to spend.
08 May 2026 21:31:55
If Mo Ross gets a job as assistant manager at Rangers ill put my nuts in a vice
08 May 2026 21:38:42
Jasp just out of interest who is the weak hearted Nordic players? I hope you don't mean the English born and live the majority of not all his life in England, Aasgaard?
09 May 2026 00:35:04
Calb, I work with one of his relatives and said the last thing he was hearing was this 1.2, and yes, he did say he was not really a Rangers fan but leans that way more than anything because his dad, a big Rangers fan, said 1.2 Rangers was last thing he got info-wise, but also said he would go for what best suits his career regardless of team.
09 May 2026 06:28:54
John, with all due respect, mate, you don't know for definite what Danny Rohl is going to do, because only himself and Cavanagh and co will know what's true, and that will be kept under wraps inside the building. ? It's of my opinion that Rohl will remain our head coach beyond this season, but I absolutely could be wrong and so could you. ?
09 May 2026 07:09:10
Walter, we know what 'with all due respect' means. So Cavanagh is a liar when he says the recruitment team recruit and he funds.
Why can’t u simply ignore me, would u rather I stop posting?
09 May 2026 10:58:51
John, while I think logic says your prob right about Rohl with all the things that surround it, family and general nature of people, Walter's opinion is a totally valid one based on evidence of club or manager statements.
Also, I'm pretty sure Cavanaugh said he was backing Rohl's transfer plans so kind of suggests he was involved in transfers and a bit hard to believe you're not going to sit in a room with a guy that's managing your investment.
09 May 2026 11:09:07
Exactly Bleedblue. ?
John calls me out when it doesn't suit his opinion. ?
09 May 2026 11:45:32
Bleed blue, get what you r saying. I'm going with Cavanagh says he puts up the money, leaves the recruitment details to CEO, previous sporting director and the recruitment team.
I see u now have a wee emoji on your shoulder, Bleed blue, at least u post and debate with respect.
Bleed blue, great coming from it when he's always asking about my source re posts and how reliable my source has been in past.
09 May 2026 23:58:11
Also still wondering if you were hearing anything on Elliot Watt, John?
