Joe Gelhardt's name popping up again on readrangers by a journo called Matthew Muir. Not sure how accurate or reliable they are. Just passing it on.
The article states that Middlesbrough are no longer looking to sign him unless they fail to get promotion and that would make it a easier signing for Rangers.

Joe Gelhardt isn't an out and out striker and would probably be better suited playing where Aasgaard currently plays. ?

How Aasgaard is still getting a game is beyond me. Moore better. Bajrami better. Lawrence was better. Hagi was better.

Gelhardt is a good player. Had a good season at Hull, he's more of an attacking midfielder than a striker.

Boy gets some amount of stick. Right, he might not be good enough, but he's got more goal contributions in 23 games than Bajrami has in his Rangers career. Hagi has one season where he managed 15 G/A, Aasgaard has 11, and Lawrence's best season had 8 contributions.
None of them are good enough.

Aasgaard has been disappointing, like many others. We can only hope he goes to the WC and another club sees something we did and signs him.

Forever, you have taken that too far. Barjami hasn't shown more. Moore is better, and the other two aren't at the club so are irrelevant.

The frustrating part with Aasgaard is he is clearly a very talented player.
Great touch and control of the ball, but off the ball he is lazy.
Personally, I just don't think the league suits his style. He'd thrive in Spain, where you get more time on the ball.

I would much rather we signed Barney Stewart than signed Joe Gelhardt, as Barney has raw talent you can not teach and knows his way to goal, even Kris Boyd has stated that we need to sign him.

Would be very happy with Piroe.
Not so sure with Gelhardt. He is a technical player with good ability, and had a fine season. One thing about him is his workrate, so could maybe be a good signing as well.

Honestly think these players offered the team more. I get that stat wise Aasgaard is better, but think he allows the team up too much, plays like a cf holding up the ball in midfield, never turns with the ball, never tries the risky pass, never drives with the ball.
Touch touch very casual backwards sidewards pass slows whole game down. Am I wrong? Sorry, but that's all I see right now. Could be an adjustment period, but I just don't see it working. And seems to let us down in all big games

They don't offer the team more, though Hagi and Lawrence couldn't run and gave free kicks away more than they completed a dribble.
Bajrami has ability, but clearly something about him that he can't get in the team.
Aasgaard, he's alright. I think he's the scapegoat 99% of the time he plays. Not as bad as people say he is, but he's not near the level of an Aribo, imo.
