Just sharing a wee bit of news i've just been told regarding northern irish and sheff wednesday goalkeeper pierce charles ? Jonny evans uncle has told my mate who works beside his uncle that Rangers are definitely very interested in signing pierce charles and have let it be known to all concerned, evans uncle things Rangers will get him ? Only sharing this with each and everyone of you ???

He's a superb goalkeeper - a position I think needs changed for next season. Butland seems a good close range shot stopper, but far too many from distance beat him, and he's also horrendous with his feet.

I'd assume Dr knows him well, & although I think Butland has been fantastic for us most of the time, I agree a fresh change might be the way to go. Tbh I'd say that about several positions.
I'm hoping Dr gets in the players he thinks will produce what he's after, & then I'll judge him properly. Yes, he's done a great job so far, but that team isn't his just yet.

I just don't get the hype. Yes, good with ball at feet, but I always worry about cross balls and commanding his area. Personally, it would be a no currently for me, plus shoulder injuries for goalkeepers so young is a bad sign.

Stevie G, if Pierce Charles keeps improving he'll be miles better than Butland and have a top career in front of him mate. ? Be a good two or three initial, another project, who has little experience, great to see we can beat Man City to a signing.

2 shoulder injuries at his age and missing almost 4 months with that isn't a good sign for a keeper.

I'd be reluctant to sell Butland with all the upheaval he in defence and the squad in gee well his experience would bring a stability that cannot be underestimated.

One Walter Charles is nowhere near Butland at present. I honestly don't know why people love players who struggle to stay fit.

John, I know, and none will even have seen him play most likely. Coops, I never said he would go for £10 million, but if there are many teams interested, it drives the price up. Anything north of £2m and I'd be walking away.
Davie, where did I say he was or wasn't a great keeper? But I'm saying he has missed 34 games this season, with 2 shoulder injuries, and I don't want injury prone players.
Also, he has played 18 games and conceded 36, so take that as you will.

It's funny the reaction when certain posters post a rumour on here, they get replies of good info etc etc, but when it's not from one of those certain posters it's just met with negativity and bitchy responses.
