Rumour from X. Don't know if the guy is genuine.

Rangers are aware of the interest shown in Emmanuel Fernandez.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are among the clubs rumoured to be keen on signing the defender.

Thus far, no approaches have been made for the 22-year-old.

He would cost north of £10m this summer.

If the big man keeps scoring, then I'd be wanting at least what we got for Bassey.

20 Feb 2026 15:29:36
50 million more like.

20 Feb 2026 15:33:02
There seems to be a lot of genuine interest from Germany.

Would be an incredible bit of business.

20 Feb 2026 15:33:30
I'd like another season with him. I don't think he's anywhere near as good as he can develop into yet, so we can get far more value off of him after another year.

20 Feb 2026 15:56:54
Yeah 25 million north of 10 million.

20 Feb 2026 16:07:32
The Peterborough chairman did an interview with SSN, stating they had a substantial sell-on %. Whether that is tied only to the profit we make on any sale, or to the full fee itself, I believe will determine where we start the asking price.

20 Feb 2026 16:27:56
Well, the lad is 25 in summer, so that likely tells you how much truth is in it.

20 Feb 2026 16:29:18
£10m simply won't cut it. We paid £2.5 to £3m for him, and Peterborough have a hefty sell-on, so, for me, the bidding starts no lower than £15m if it's the teams mentioned.

20 Feb 2026 16:57:53
Watp, not old for a cb.

20 Feb 2026 17:24:16
Are sell-ons not always based on profit? If not, that's crazy, as in some scenarios the selling team could effectively make a loss.

20 Feb 2026 18:09:45
Not talking about his age, My Star. I'm talking about the quality and accuracy of the reporting.

20 Feb 2026 18:17:01
Defo more than 10m, as his old club have a hefty sell-on in the deal, apparently, so we will be looking for a big fee, and, to be fair, if the teams that are rumoured are true, we should have no problem getting 20million plus, like Bassey.

20 Feb 2026 19:23:24
Listen, the clubs who want him will affect the fee we can get right away.

I'd quote EUR20m plus 10% sell-on.

20 Feb 2026 19:55:52
Selling him for 10m is not an incredible bit of business. Aye, if we signed him for 50k. But we didn't. An incredible bit of business would be north of 20m. I'm not saying that's what he is worth, btw.

I honestly reckon we'd accept a bid of something between £10million-£15million for big Manny Fernandez, with add-ons and a sell-on fee percentage. ? I didn't hear anything about Chelsea, Arsenal, or even Bayern Munich being interested in him, but I heard both Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen were very interested in signing him, along with an unnamed English Premier League club.

? I also have the feeling that it will be a German club who buys Fernandez from us. ?

21 Feb 2026 09:02:22
If true, the teams that are interested in Fernandez should start the bidding at £20m.

21 Feb 2026 11:11:26
I would want way more than 10 for him.
And also, I would keep him.
Especially for European football next season.
And possibly a title defence.

21 Feb 2026 12:12:15
Big issue is Fernandes has a sell on clause in his contract. His sell on for Peterborough is 20 % of profit.
Appeared we r talking re pay rise and remove fee.

Same re Raskin.

21 Feb 2026 14:44:44
John, as I said, big sell-on. People seem to have forgotten that he also qualifies as domestic-trained for English clubs, which pushes his valuation up, just like it would for us buying Scottish players.
