Rohl cannot be deemed a failure if he doesn't win the league, not after the starting position and squad he inherited. It's not just the points we were behind, it was the players at his disposal both then and now.
He can be judged next season but anything he gets out of our team just now is a bonus. He's done wonders in my mind and we're lucky to have him.

We're not losing the league because our strikers can't score goals. We're losing the league because we can't create opportunities for then to score goals. Strikers won't solve this issue.

Totally agree with most of what you are saying, however if we are badly in need of a goal scoring striker why are we pinning our hopes on a complete wildcard such as this boy? The culture shock and pressure that will be on him will be unbelievable, might be a tad overwhelming, it's the kind of signing that you would look to bed in slowly.
I seriously hope he proves me wrong and rattles the goals in though.

Your acting as if Miovski and Chermiti are missing chance after chance each week that is not the case.
Yes we need a better 9 but the creativity and final third decision making is of a very low standard and that is where the biggest problem is.

I can see Rangers getting the striker from Germany, and trying to get a creative wide player on loan from the EPL. I wouldn't expect much more than that.
This late in the window there must be a number of wide players at EPL clubs that could be had on a short-term loan.
As for the whole comparisons to Gerrard - It took Gerrard 3 seasons to win the league. So if Rohl lost the league this season, but won it next season he would have done a better job than Gerrard.

C-bear, our Strikers don't get in positions for our creative players either. It's a combination of the two. MPH not long ago did stats that showed we we're actually around top for chances created surprisingly.

As some previous posters have said we could have a prime Ally McCoist in the team and he wouldn't score many goals. Its our creativity, crossing and decision making in the final 3rd that is letting us down.

he has dine well with getting the best out of what we have. remember the German lad is replacing our supposed 3rd choice keeper so I suspect he is in to get used to the level of expectation from the fans at the club. he is physical so will act as that focal point when he gets game time; also seems to know way to goal which at whatever level you play must be a good thing.
personally think we have dragged Hearts and Celtic back since Rohl started so who is to say that can't continue. add to that we have strengthened 3 positions we were short in and added a new different striker. fans need to have confidence in what is being built here.

Well said kaiser, Chermiti is never in the right position, there was even one yesterday in the 2nd half where one of our players had the ball wide right and not a single Rangers player was in the Hibs box, yes we should create more but our strikers need to involve themselves more, show better movement in and around the box, Gassama has 8 goals from the wing so far so at that rate should end the season on roughly 15, not bad for a winger, who created his chances then?

They don't have the killer instinct that you need to be a goalscorer, and you can't teach it either IMO.

Rohl, why would we be after the loan of a wide player when we have just signed one and let Curtis leave because we have four and that is enough.
We should have been brave this window and tried to get rid of Chermiti, Miovski, Antman and even Aasgaard who have shown that when it comes to the crunch they aren't good enough.
If the argument is that Chermiti was good in the OF game and deserves a chance then Aasgaard was hauled off at half time so what does that say about him.

Don't think it's fair to point the blame solely at the strikers. Granted neither of them want to take a shot at goal but it's a lack of creativity that's costing us.
Rohl obviously realised he didn't have the players when he arrived to play how he wants and has set us up primarily to be hard to beat.
Trade off their is we don't get enough players in the box.
We are desperate for a 10 or an 8 that can create, play a killer pass and score from outside the box. Sadly i don't think that profile is available in January without paying over the odds.

We do create chances for other players though. If Rohl wanted Chermiti in the box all the time, would he not just tell him to be there? And if he wasn't doing what he was told, would we not drop him and play either Miovski or Danilo? Yes, they are rubbish, I know, but this would be more about club discipline and making players do what they are told.
I can't believe a coach who is getting so much out of the team wouldn't see this obvious issue and not deal with it.
Or he wants his striker to link up play, and he doesn't care who scores the goals as long as we are winning. He said yesterday there weren't enough getting into the box, as perhaps rationale for that..

Throwing it out there. Maybe the formation needs to change. The forward thinking players aren't doing it. No creativity. No enough guys in box. Not enough quality balls into the box.
I watched Chermiti and he ran into the box. He arrived to early. Another I watched the player out on the right wing cross it in and 3 players ran past the first post to receive it.
Not scoring from the position.
Not brave enough to win game.
In hindsight he shouldn't have dropped Dio in my opinion.
Olsen should have been off earlier.
I thought DR was to safe and made mistakes.
