I like Tavernier but it's him running the show the current manager doesn't have it to drop him .Tavernier has seen off at least three different managers now as time goes by the picture gets clearer.

Nonsense that any player is running the show and that Gerrard, GVB, Beale and Martin would allow him to do it . Every manager, player and ex player speak highly of him as a person and a captain.
Maybe he is over the hill now and its time to replace him but this narrative is total nonsense. By the way you did notice that he managed to do something that non of the other outfield players did on Saturday and actually scored a goal . Something that the forwards, the new signings and the players rated as worth millions couldn't do.

I would like to think NO player is bigger than the club, that would go for most teams. Only way to tell if that was the case would be if he went or was dropped for a period of tine and gauge how things progress from that point forward.

Dado name any player on Saturday who did that. I know they were all played out of position and it might not suit. so I will widen it: name one player on Saturday who put in the effort you would expect from a Rangers player.
I really don't see that dropping Tavernier in the last few seasons and naming another captain would have resulted in us winning the league. can't prove that obviously but happy to have reasons argued for the opposite.

Absolutely nonsense tav is running it. I like many others for few years tav needs phased out but maybe there hasn't been anyone in training who performs better, we have sterling but how many injuries has he had just maybe tav is best what we have in that position. Again I do not rate tav as a defender or a captain but he has got us so many important goals.

To blame Tav is nonsense. There have been issues right from the top all the way through the structure at Rangers. Players have the responsibility to control what they can control. How hard they run how hard they tackle etc. Yes Tav can have a word but on the pitch it's gone to that individual player. Is he past his best yes. Is Aaron's better? Only a run in the team at RB will prove that.

There are splits in every dressing room and their are managers favourites like Dowell and that is one thing hard to figure out, with him involved recently Tav's job has been near impossible . He could have done that job with Aarons behind him and supporting him . sharing the load .

Why play him further forward, he has no pace, can't beat a man and people want him as a RW who's role is to create chances and score goals. Martin wants pace out wide, never getting that with Captain failure.

But defensively to costly
To many errors
N not just all him
But a lot stems from him
If we are to learn anything from previous seasons tavs not up to it

Angus nobody grabbed the game by the balls. I was at it and was horrified what i watched. I thought Djiga played well aside from that i'm struggling but my response was to wsl somehow justifying tav being sh*te because he scored a header that was on a plate. i'd say one of the main issues we have right now is regarding the fullbacks. Both terrible but aarons has an excuse currently.

Daod I agree but no-ne esle did. It doesn't matter who the captain is do we have anyone who has the experience and charisma to drag every player up a notch when things go badly. that has been what we have expected from Tav every season so far. Whilst he will get phased out potentially by Aarons I think he has been a good servant for the club in a poor period of trophies but that isn't all down to him. I know you didn't say that but just went off on one :)
