Thank goodness it's the last of games in international break.
Scotland are shocking to watch, no better than when Clarke was in charge.
Managers will not be happy as most have played the 4 games, no variation, rotation, others must see it as waste of time getting very little chance, how Hendry get a game.
Robertson is just getting games to break cap record. certainly not on current form.

I was just thinking the same thing . Thank god this mind numbing international break is almost over . One thing I'll add is that Lewis Ferguson had shown absolutely nothing to me that would make me want to see him in a Rangers jersey over the course of these 4 games .
Bang average . And I for one certainly don't want to see him playing for us when he's another year or two older.

McGinn is seriously overrated and an actual waste of space for Scotland, barely touches the ball and when he does he just looks for fools. McBurnie is a slightly better Dykes, I'd stick Bowie and Ure upfront. We have no real ball playing players outside of Gilmour.
There's players look like they are stuck in Clarke's ways, Sebastian needs time to get them playing his way and it's much harder for an international to do that, they also are stuck with a limited pool.

I think this manager was the wrong choice and think he'll be a disaster.
We have good players and with the right manager would be not too bad.

Honestly. Other than doak for a few moments this Scotland team has done nothing since beating Spain a few years ago. It's not the manager in a sense. All the players scared all the time. can't handle a press and same time can't apply one either. Tough times ahead IMO.

I actually agree with mystar but i'd also say the new manager has failed big time can anyone think of how many players played fron the spl. To me he's showing a disrespect to Scottish game and droppping Curtis was idiotic one of best young talents sorry but under 21 games will do nothing for him unless its the tougher nations.

Agree about Ferguson, we should be staying well clear of him. He's absolutely bang average, Robertson is done and tbh this whole team needs a shake up. Doak just hasn't got the final ball and as for the defence. it was just too easy for Slovenia.

Hello Star, i agree with you, McGinn has been one of the best Scotland players consistently over the years and still playing at a high level. We would be a far worse team without him.
What i was disappointed with the most last night was Curtis coming on and getting into their box straight away and then he takes a blatant dive. I wish VAR would start sending folk off for that nonsense, i hate folk that dive and all he done was look stupid and ruined a good chance.

Can never understand managers that want to pick a system they like rather than looking at the players they have to work with. Esp in international games when u don't get get time to get used to it. How many of those players play that formation for their clubs?

Actually thought there were some positive signs over the 4 games, but defensively (including the GK) we need a full rebuild.
Thought Ferguson and Gilmour were outstanding and really showed signs of building a brilliant partnership.

Our keeper Gunn is not great EHL, the amount of goals he has conceded that any keeper should be saving happens far too regular. He has an uncanny knack of diving but not actually going anywhere or shots at him that he never seems to put his arms up high enough. Flaps about at crosses, he reminds me of Barkas.

Personally I don't rate McGinn, as mentioned above his biggest ploy is getting the ball and sticking his backside out to look for contact then fall over. He's not exactly a waste of space as mentioned above but certainly not at a level to have collected 90 odd caps.
The defence needs to be completely changed, Welsh is barely at a level of international football and even if he was he's never an overlapping right back. How he was given that role over Hickey is baffling. Our biggest issue is that there are no replacements coming through for these positions.

Someone can be overrated and a good player. The way pundits go on about him is as if he's one of the best in the world and does all these things but hadn't scored before the penalty in 2 years and he hasn't been great Villa. He was invisible for 3 of the 4 there.

As bad as a team we are, we now have a manager who is trying to play a style that we don't have player who can play that way, appointment has disaster written all over it. lets hope Wales or the Irish republic do us a favour or we are not going to Euro 2028 with him in charge.
But never mind Maxwell and his buddies at the SFA will still be there with there all expenses paid.

Ferguson and Gilmour were outstanding? Ferguson did nothing but commit senseless fouls , his use of the ball was terrible and he and Gilmour left a massive hole in front of the back 3.
Gilmour showed wee flashes of his skills but he flattered to deceive, he doesn't dominate midfield and rarely plays a killer pass , he also tires very badly in second half of games.
If you count those two as the new leaders of the team, given the demise of McGinn and Robertson , plus still picking Hendry bringing back the useless McTominay and still picking Christie, it's easy to see why the future is bleak.
Gunn was terrible but we don't have anybody else and guys like Welsh and Binks may be all there is coming through but they ain't up to this level.
No wonder Clarke quit, he knew what was coming.

Bologna last 2 seasons finished 8th and 9th and currently 3rd bottom only 2 points from bottom place so not regularly finishing in top 6. Only finished in top 6 once in last 12 seasons and usually found anywhere between 10th and 15th before their 5th place finish.
I personally don't want Lewis Ferguson because I don't think he's better than what we have and we should always be looking for improvement.
