I'm one of those who never saw McInnes as good enough to be a Rangers manager.
And the start of his Rangers career fuelled those doubts.
As fans all we ask, demand & expect is progress when a new manager and squad is ensembled at the start of the season.
Maybe the doubts are justified with the previous false dawns since Gerrard delivered 55.
Not just with league title failures, but our atrocious record in the domestic cups these last few years.
The shoots of recovery can now be seen.
I think he's been helped with Raskin, Fernandez having no firm options other than staying.
He's then lost what he perceived as his top 2 strikers in Shankland and Chermiti being injured.
And benefited from Pandur, Penrice, Minsu & Makhanya hitting the ground running.
Through in a fit Sterling and Naderi getting a regular run of games to show what he can do, then everything seems a lot more settled.
Dan Neil has also started to show what many claimed after his early season woes.
And the bench hasn't looked this strong in years.
There is a real togetherness about this squad.
With the team looking like they are buying into what McInnes is trying to achieve.
Aye, it's only September.
Aye, nothing has been won.
But 2 one sided victories over our biggest rivals in 2 different competitions is cause for optimism that we are heading in the right direction.
And as fans, we have every right to celebrate these moments.
Otherwise what's the point of enjoying the greatest sport whilst following the greatest team in the world.🔴⚪🔵.

Great post mate, really hard to disagree with those comments. As well as keeping Raskin and Fernandez I'd say not being in Europe will help massively on the park, not great financially but having a week between games will help loads in my opinion.

MPH, i can understand our supporters having less patience as we've not won a lot of silverware over the last 14 years or so but a good few of our supporters judge far too early mate and with the rebuild Derek McInnes had in front of him and all these new players it was always going to be bumpy at the beginning and take time to gel and for McInnes to establish his best 11🤔🇬🇧.

What a difference a few weeks makes. Never had a problem with McInnes but only with having the tools to work with. He certainly finally has that now and a strong bench so plenty of competition. And having players who have hit the ground running has made such a difference. We look like a real strong physical outfit with players ready to put the work in.

to be fair Kaiser he had the same tools 2 weeks ago but your point is clear, the difference between the players 2 weeks ago and now is night and day. they are learning how to work together, know how each of them think makes such a difference.
knowing where a player will be or what his traits are makes such a difference to how you pass the ball about.

2 weeks ago all his attacking signings hadn't played a minute of football gees so not particularly the same tools imo. For his style to work he needs to have fast attacking players in his team or it's a non starter. The introduction of Minsu, Kelsy have really helped the team perform.
