What a day. What a game. Just about recovered.
Elation and excitement at the result still simmering away.
First easy victory over Celtic in a game that mattered for years.
Tactically spot in from McInnes.

Total team performance.
A midfield dominated by Raskin and the much improved Neil.
Makhanya a rock at the back.
And a midfielder in Neil who isn't afraid to shoot.
Can we do it all again?
🎼HWFG! Step up and play🎼🔴⚪️🔵.

Mph, hasn't Neil had three MOTM in his three last games? maybe just maybe you'll give players longer than 300 minutes?

14 Sep 2026 12:16:45
Also thought Penrice was exceptional, if you watch Hutton's analysis of him yesterday, it's frightening how well he played, his athleticism, skill, and game intelligence, will not go unnoticed.

14 Sep 2026 12:31:10
Do we have an option to buy on Penrice?

14 Sep 2026 13:14:48
Yes we do, and it should definitely be taken.

14 Sep 2026 13:27:24
Pandur, 7. not much to do, solid!
Penrice, 9. Everywhere.

Still 8 rank rotten performances before then, MyStar🤷‍♂️
Where he was dropped or not deemed good enough to start.
But he's certainly heading in the right direction.
And long may it continue.

Can't remember many games when it's so hard to pick a stand out because every single player stood up.

14 Sep 2026 14:06:30
8 is going over the top Mph, decent against Aberdeen, MOTM his last three games, you really did judge Dan Neil in under 300 minutes, maybe you will now give others more patience, but under 300 minutes was something else.

Brilliant result yesterday but what a performance from the whole team.

Special shout to McInnes. After Jablonec game he was probably under as much pressure as any recent manager. 2 euro exits and the poor league start was as bad as it could be at that point.

The turnaround since then has been excellent. Game by game we have seen shoots of progress but more importantly we picked up wins.

Yesterday he got his tactics on the money and I got Advocaat vibes from how he played Penrice in the game. I know it was effectively man for man, but still impressive.

We actually looked like a team rather than a collection of individuals and DM takes massive credit for that.

It's early days but the summer recruitment is looking pretty good at this stage. We have a good squad at the moment and look quite strong in all areas of the pitch.

I am clearly not a fan of the UB, but that Tifo yesterday was superb and I felt the team lived up to the message.

Fact or Fiction, MyStar.
Dan Neil was rotten in his first 8 games?
Fact or Fiction, MyStar.
Dan Neil has been much improved his last 3 games?

14 Sep 2026 16:25:38
watching the game yesterday when the crowd started singing this is so f****** easy reminded me of Ibrox when the tinman ripped them a new one and we went on a superb run.

14 Sep 2026 16:43:59
Was decent against Aberdeen, Mph, it's cool if you think judging any player in under 300 minutes is fine.

14 Sep 2026 16:30:56
I don't think that's the point My star is trying to make here regarding dan neil MPH 🤔 You're not the only one but some of our supporters do judge players way too early and you done it regarding dan neil mate 🤔Stats never tell the whole story my friend and there's many reasons why some players take longer than other players to settle into life at Rangers and of course the fast up and at them style of Scottish football 🤔I've always been with My star on this one regarding dan neil, as he's a really good midfielder 👌🇬🇧.

14 Sep 2026 16:32:40
Mrph, my star both of you are correct.

Our best most meaningful victory since Seville season and u both want to point score. U have both made your point several times, why not support the team and discuss the actual match.

14 Sep 2026 17:28:54
Agree my star, he judged him too quickly, players need time to settle, hope he now gives others time.

14 Sep 2026 17:34:40
Dan Neil settle any debate by his performance on the pitch. No need for the childish innuendo about minutes 300/500 imo. How about just crongratulating the guy on a MOTM performance and celebrating our team's magnificent victory.

14 Sep 2026 18:17:19
It's not been 300 minutes.
It's been 12 games which equates to 1080 minutes.
Now, he may not have played in all those games.
But that was because he was dropped, not selected or substituted by the manager as not being good enough.

Not good enough in a period where we are 5 behind in the league and knocked out of the Europa and Conference League.
What I will say though, his upturn in form has funnily enough coincided with Raskin being back in the team.

14 Sep 2026 19:45:01
And Raskin's upturn in form has, surprisingly, come with Neil alongside him too. So that argument can work both ways.

A lot of what you're saying is based on assumptions about why a player was picked, substituted or left out. Just because you think he played poorly doesn't mean the manager saw it that way. For example, if McInnes substitutes him in one game and then starts him in the very next, does that really suggest he thought Neil had been poor? Surely, if that was the reason, you'd expect him to leave him out the following game as well.

In fact, that scenario has only happened once. To me, that suggests McInnes has been trying to get Neil settled into the team and give him the consistency to find his form, which is exactly what we're now seeing. He's started the last four games and has been named Man of the Match in all four.

So perhaps instead of assuming every substitution or non-selection was evidence that the manager didn't rate him or he played poorly, we should look at what the manager has actually done with him over time to get him to now be the stand out he is.

14 Sep 2026 19:49:11
Dan Neil never stopped instructing players where to go and who to press etc, not the only one right enough even seen our goalie run up the pitch to shout at Gasama at a corner to get in position, they have been will drilled and all seam to be buying into it.

14 Sep 2026 20:19:12
That's not how it works on here John you've been on here long enough to know that.
