I'm a firm believer that titles are won from a solid foundation, specifically from the back. Before the window closed I thought it was a huge mistake not signing another centre half to complement Makhanya (can't see Godfrey being fit enough to be that person). I thought we'd be a stick on for BTTS every week. How wrong could I have been.

We appear to be pretty solid, even with Fernandez at the back. The whole team seems to defend well and the confidence this gives through the team is huge. I genuinely think we would have conceded against St Mirren in previous seasons.

Full credit to McInnes, his coaching team and the players, if you continue not to concede then we will continue in this run and might have a better season than I'm expecting. Please don't mix this up with a 'everything is Rosey' post, there's a lot of work to do but, credit where credit is due.

Long may it continue.

Centre midfielders was also a problem for us conceding goals, Dado, Neil and Raskin are starting to build a good relationship, and we still haven't lost a goal in the league with Dan Neil in the side, very good organiser.

Cannae argue with consecutive clean sheets. Looking far more solid and cutting out the stupid self inflicted errors. Lots to still work on as u say but better communication and understanding of each other and confidence will start to grow. Still concerned we didn't sign another in case of injury tho.

We are looking much improved at the back but what I now see is very few goals from set pieces. We have a good few players of well over six feet and don't threaten much.

Arsenal are one of the best at set pieces and this is a huge part of successful teams. I hope that the new set piece coach can start to get improvement in this area.

We need to be far more clinical up front. St, Mirren through one on one with Pandur and if that had gone in, very different sentiment on here this morning. That's how close that game actually was.

Yeah Marco but we also had chances we should have put away - 3 points well deserved - but of course could not have been closer with 91st min winner and then missing a 1 on 1 - hopefully we are more clinical on Sunday 🇬🇧.

Fernandes looking much better, the way he uses his body at times is brilliant. I get he had the odd mistake in him but remember where he was playing not long over a season ago. I firmly believe he will cut out those mistakes and make us a tidy profit. Kudos to mcinnes for not dropping him when it seemed he would.

Pandur was the one who saved us last night not any of the defenders.

Hopefully, starting to see why he's brought in some of the players to change the dynamic around the place. The vibe between the players in recent games when goals have been scored is so much more positive. Gelling a team and creating a group who want to fight and celebrate with each other is Dels thing. Add in some creativity and we're getting there.

As usual the negativity after a few games is reactionary and misinformed. And a few positive results doesn't make us amazing, but I believe we're finally on the right track. Also only a couple of very good sales away from being an efficient business too.
This will make people laugh but I think Del is our Simeone.

I think Makhanya has the potential to be very top drawer! Just hope he continues in this form.
