Rangers have submitted bid for Kevin Kelsy of 7.4 million pounds.
14 Aug 2026 06:20:31
£9m would have got ure who there would be no worries about him fitting into the Scottish league. The American league has not been good for us.
14 Aug 2026 06:36:22
Very good shout, Livibear. 👍 Not saying Kevin Kelsy isn't a good young striker, but I agree Robbie Ure is much less of a risk, and knows our club inside out and the league. 🤔🇬🇧
14 Aug 2026 06:56:22
McInnes knows our club inside out.
14 Aug 2026 07:17:43
Am sure Robbie Ure would have picked coming back to the side that didn't think he was good enough 1st time. Or Seville.
14 Aug 2026 07:34:21
He may well do know our club inside out, but last couple weeks we have been a country mile off it. There seems to be a total disconnect with the players.
14 Aug 2026 07:34:31
Unless Robbie was scoring all those goals all by himself, why would he come back to the basket case of a club that 1 rejected him & 2 don't give any service to their strikers???
14 Aug 2026 08:00:09
Just go with what we have, keep our money and get rid of the recruitment team first. Wouldn't let them spend another penny. If McInnes can't get a tune out of this lot by Christmas, get shot of him. His tactics are currently not working, but hopefully he finds a settled 11.
14 Aug 2026 08:08:22
You'd let this carry on until Christmas?!
14 Aug 2026 08:14:22
He made the right choice to leave and prove himself elsewhere. The lad has done well and now has a big move. Look forward to seeing him play in La Liga.
14 Aug 2026 08:30:04
Robbie Ure. Not the same kind of striker as Chermiti. I believe we have bought players to suit his style.
14 Aug 2026 08:36:04
Agree Scott Purdy and Thelwell Jnr made a total mess of recruitment last season and the same this season. Can't be trusted and need removed now. No more until they are gone.
14 Aug 2026 08:53:27
Robbie Ure was offered a contract 3 different times, so we didn't reject him.
He knew he wasn't good enough to play for us, and chose to join Anderlecht youth teams and build himself a career.
There is no bad blood.
14 Aug 2026 09:23:39
Why on earth would Ure come back? He's moved on big time.
14 Aug 2026 09:24:09
Just to be clear, Robbie wasn't offered a contract 3 times. He was offered one contract, and no pressure was applied to sign it. It was around 1/5th wage that another boy had been offered and signed, and he felt that moving was necessary to try and learn and develop. The loan pathway was a loan to a lower Scottish club, who had taken two forwards on loan previously, with no success. Moving seemed and proved to be best.
Had Rangers come in for him before Seville, I can't speak directly for him, but when you are a true fan, as Robbie is, then it's fair to say he'd have given it some serious consideration.
His move is a sensational one, and it's worked well for everyone except Rangers. Maybe we could look at a strategic loan set up with a club who can develop the kids in more ways than just game time. The foreign experience, for example, has been the making of Robbie.
14 Aug 2026 09:30:46
Pretty sure Ure doesn't want to come back to our poor league.
14 Aug 2026 09:49:53
Glasgow gooner, the other boy was Leon King and he got £10k a week cause Man United were trying to sign him among other big European clubs.
So Robbie was offered 2k a week, is what you're saying?
Bit too bad a deal.
14 Aug 2026 09:55:49
Peterpan loyal, there is no development path in Scotland after u18s. There is the reserve league, as an 18 year old it was a big step. The boy has developed now.
RFC 22 doesn't fit our style, aye he scores goals we aren't scoring goals. I'd certainly like to see our style incorporate goals.
Our recruitment stinks. The Lewis Ferguson links were everywhere, even if we weren't interested or Ferguson wasn't interested, that was the level of expectation set by fans. The Americans either don't see that, or they do, but their link between the fans and fulfilling that expectation doesn't get it.
Purdy and Thelwell Jnr need to be gone. Players need sold fast, that should be their job too, and they aren't doing it.
When Walter Smith came back we hadn't signed a player in ages. We won the league and got to a European final with a small squad. We don't need 30 odd players in, we need about 22 that add to the team and play as a team. Robbie Ure fills that criteria for me, so does Ferguson and Doig. They are the Scottish players I'd want.
14 Aug 2026 09:57:13
Baxterboy, as it currently stands McInnes knows nothing, I am all in with your sarcasm. 🤣🤣
14 Aug 2026 10:02:47
The other boy wasn't Leon. Robbie was offered £1k. He took less to go elsewhere btw.
14 Aug 2026 10:09:26
Anyone who thinks we could have got Ure is delusional, imo. 🤦♂️
14 Aug 2026 10:17:34
Kelsy doesn't want to come, he's happy in the States, and his club doesn't want to sell, so the recruitment team needs to check YouTube again and move on to the next target.
14 Aug 2026 10:32:23
A degree of arrogance amongst some thinking Ure would have come back - Let's think about it. Live in Glasgow or Spain?
14 Aug 2026 10:34:24
Go oner fair enough, mate, u obviously have some form of knowledge about Robbie personally, so I'll bow to your knowledge, mate.
Whatever went on, the lad made the correct decision.
