Penrith, considering the amount of "real quality" wing displays shown by Antman and Gassama - even Matondo for that matter - then the lad doesn't have a high bar to reach imho - he obviously needs good few games to get up to speed, so let's support him - think this boy will surprise a few 🤔 and in a good way too!

Blue Floyd, I hope you are right and he proves better over time than the three mentioned. Though I do remember when Gassama was signed, Wednesday supporters saying expect major dips after one or two good games. A lot of wingers suffer that of course.

That used to be the way of it, players judged too early who then went on to become legends, the dynamic duo of McCoist and Hateley are two that come to mind, but nowadays when we look at a player and think he's not very good, we have mostly been proved right and none of them will ever become club legends. Even Chermiti, who is miles better than I thought he could be and is worth a fortune apparently, isn't as good as some make out.
There is also the other side of the coin, like Gassama, who looked great in the early European games and got us through a couple of rounds, who now looks very poor. For various reasons, the standards at the club just seem to drop season by season.

Over the same amount of period Coops there has been more that have failed. Just giving both sides, and I ain't saying for one min the Japanese boy will fail.

Penrith, I wouldn't say the majority of our supporters would say that, mate, I'd say it would be the usual minority who would say those sorts of things after a couple of poor games, because that's just the way they are, mate.
👎 Over my many years of going to see the Rangers, I've lost count of players we've signed who didn't do it right away, and after fully settling in, they became superb players for us. 🤔 🇬🇧

I get it happens both ways, Storm. 🤔 Regarding Gassama, fellow bears. 🤔 He has a talent, but for me it's his attitude at times and workrate that lets him down. 🤔 He should take a look and study in training the attitude and workrate of our new Japanese right winger Daisuke Yokota. That's the attitude that he should be applying. 🤔

WSL, you contradict yourself a little with Chermiti. How do you know he won't be as good as McCoist as an example. McCoist would have been hounded out of Ibrox if the fans got their way. Thankfully, the manager stuck by him, and, well, we all know what happened.
Just maybe Chermiti will do the same, but it is different times now.
I don't believe, if McCoist was an upcoming striker now, he would get the goals he got playing the modern day football.
