Devlin will play in place of Raskin (don't think, even if they don't leave, either Raskin or Aasgaard will be back before the first game). Antman and Curtis wide.
I also wouldn't be surprised to see Kelly start in goal depending on how Pandur settles in.

Devlin will play, and if he's performing, he'll stay in the team; if he's not, then he'll be out until he works his way back in, just like any other player. I don't think he'll play the majority of games, but I guess that's up to him and how he plays.

Why wouldn't Devlin play? That's the whole point of a squad to use all players, especially when in all competitions or when injuries creep in. As I said on earlier posts, Devlin isn't the player you get excited about, but to suggest he won't be played or do a job for us is nonsense.
His role is actually pretty risk free, he's in to shake things up in midfield, all energy, drive and combative, skillful players or creative players carry more risk of settling in, but his style of play is natural to him and will be of great use in certain games.

Sws, he won't be starting before Neil, he has everything Devlin has, but a far better footballer, we don't sign Dahl and play Devlin before him.
Yes, he'll be involved in many games, but he won't be in the starting line up in the majority, still rather have Barron in my side.

The question was, of the players that we currently have, what would our starting line up be against Dundee United? Devlin is a signed player right now, whereas guys like Ferguson and Dahl aren't, so, given that McInnes has signed him, he is likely to start alongside Neil in midfield. If the others don't sign, then it might be different, but that was not the question.

I think you'll be in for a surprise Bluenoseger. It's strange to me that a guy that was better than anything we had in midfield is being written off before kicking a ball. I've always looked at him as the type to drive his team on, try to set the standards. Hearing the manager say the same gives me confidence. He'll have his part to play.
