Anyone think Nsiala could have a part to play this year? Or is he moving on? Thought he looked like he could be a good player with the right guidance?

30 Jun 2026 12:56:31
Ideally another loan, but if not, would be happy enough to retain him as he's the only left sided CB we have atm.

30 Jun 2026 13:16:05
I don't think he's going to make the grade.

30 Jun 2026 13:17:39
No. He's nowhere near good enough.

30 Jun 2026 13:19:52
No, not a chance - Frankly, he's just not good enough.

30 Jun 2026 13:34:39
Hardly.
Seen anything of the Lad but what I did see was promising. I couldn't possibly judge whether he's good enough or not.

What is good enough?

30 Jun 2026 14:05:59
He looked good till Barry Ferguson chucked him. Should loan him out to Killie or someone in Scotland. Nsiala has played 17 times for us & isn't good enough, but some people on here think Rice is when he's played 16 games for us & done nothing. Nsiala, a CB, has a goal & assist to his name.

30 Jun 2026 14:10:52
I'd try to give him 6 months at Faith Rovers if they'll have him. If not, a similar team. Highlight his passing ability, but need to rough him up at the back. See where suits him best for the 2nd half of the season.

I like him and I'd like to keep him. I think he's going to be a very good player.

30 Jun 2026 14:38:57
Gazza, are you seriously asking what is good enough?

30 Jun 2026 14:58:10
I think he needs to stay until we have some CBs in the door. We've signed Godfrey, who I'm hoping can stay fit. Add to that Souttar, who is rumoured to be leaving, and Fernandez, who could also leave. The heart of defence is certainly the weakest area of our squad.

We still need to upgrade on two of our CBs regardless of who leaves, as Godfrey and Fernandez look like they would be first choice if nothing changes, but having Souttar and Nsiala as the back up options is preparing to fail imo.

30 Jun 2026 15:18:57
I've always rated Nsiala and enjoyed my time working with him. I have a feeling that McInnes will like him, but given that there is open interest in him, I'd expect us to cash in.

30 Jun 2026 15:27:10
Yes!

That is my question!

I'm not a coach or a manager, I'm simply a fan. I don't feel I have the expertise to make that judgement.

30 Jun 2026 15:37:30
Gazza, his strengths are his athleticism, his composure on the ball and his passing range.

However, he is a bit raw and not very aggressive, in the air or in the tackle. Like a lot of academy players, they can be a bit soft.

Definitely a player in there and I think would benefit from another loan move. Not Raith tho, he's definitely better than that level atm. He was playing in the Belgian top flight last season.

30 Jun 2026 15:38:36
No he's not good enough.

30 Jun 2026 15:57:19
I seem to remember he was a player bought by the club to develop to be able to play first team football. We never have enough patience to allow that time so I suspect he will be sold and go on to play at a high level at which point we will complain he was sold to cheaply and that everyone always liked him.

He was bullied a lot in our league so he either needs to be beefed up or sold to a league where his skills will better suit it.

Oh, and Gazza asks a valid question though as nothing ever seems good enough to at least a proportion of the fans. So what is good enough?

30 Jun 2026 16:09:09
Gazza, no point even replying to Coldo mate, best ignored.

30 Jun 2026 16:21:34
We've had world class players/internationals come to us. Who, on paper, you could say they're good enough. You don't become an international player by being S***E, do you? Well, I can't imagine you would. Granted, we've had some very good players who haven't fitted in or haven't worked out for whatever reasons.

So I'm asking what is good enough to be a Rangers FC player?

If talented internationals aren't, so it can't just be purely based on quality, because if it was, you'd say all of the below were.

Olsen
Ramsey
Davies
Guivarch.

Gazza Restore Rangers (coldo) a person who changes their name like they change their boxers, don't feed him as he is just like the mogwai in gremlins, the more you feed him the more of a gremlin he turns into.

It's a perfectly fine question to ask as you stated, there has been many who were deemed good enough but never lived up to it.

Nsiala is a very talented ball playing CH but he lacks the physicality to excel in our league, unless he can beef up and handle it I feel he will be shipped out. Such a shame really as he liked to get the ball and feed it forward quicker than Djiga, Souttar and the much hyped Fernandez.

30 Jun 2026 18:19:34
Gazza, I'll keep it simple. A player who has both the required ability and mentality would be deemed good enough. It's been a very long time since we have had players with both the required ability and mentality. The past four years or so, where we have been very unsuccessful, proves that we have not had players with both qualities.

30 Jun 2026 15:00:42
He's actually not too terrible on the deck. His passing is very good for a CB. He's absolutely chronic in the air though, not good for a CB. I think he'll be moved on.
