To all the posters using ChatGPT to create their posts, remove the hyphens first—it's a dead giveaway. ?.

16 Jun 2026 18:34:38
Thanks, Grok. Good bot.

16 Jun 2026 18:48:00
Gazza, the boy is having a joke. You haven't taken it the wrong way. He is not a bully.

16 Jun 2026 18:50:55
Still can't get over people leaving due to other people's comments - people are entitled to their opinion and on a forum like this they can comment how they like. ??

16 Jun 2026 18:36:11
I am one of those posters.

What I will say is every single post I make contains 100% my own thoughts, football opinions, and words. I simply use an AI tool to help clean up my grammar and structure before posting.

As someone who struggles with Complex PTSD and neurodivergence, it helps me learn and improve things I would otherwise struggle with. It's a helpful tool for spelling and flow, and there's absolutely no shame in that.

Does it make you feel better about yourself to jump onto a forum and try to pick on folks you know nothing about?

Rather than showing that kind of small-mindedness and playing grammar detective, maybe stick to discussing the football and being a better human, rather than another one of the bully boys on here.

You don't know other people's circumstances or struggles, so if you can't be nice or understanding, then just move on?

Too many good people have already left this forum following crap like this.

However, how do I block users like this on here, please? I've no tolerance for bullies!

16 Jun 2026 18:58:53
Agree, Ally, it's tame on here. The West Ham and Fan Media circus is absolutely ruthless. ??? I don't think the boy meant any harm with his comment on AI posts. Who cares what folk use to construct their thoughts, especially if they're dyslexic or not great with words.

16 Jun 2026 19:11:36
Don't worry about it, Gazza_ mate. I've been enjoying your posts recently! Use whatever helps. Couldn't care less what punctuashun or speling iz lyk_. @ least, what you're saying makes sense, which can't be said for all of us.}

16 Jun 2026 19:12:24
I disagree. Jokes are funny and are not made at another person's expense. Bringing people down because of how they choose or need to communicate isn't a joke.

I wish people would take accountability for their own crappy behaviour instead of trying to pass it off as an opinion or a laugh.

16 Jun 2026 19:15:50
Superally,

There is a big difference between having an opinion on football or a joke and choosing to target another human being. A forum being about football doesn't mean basic human decency goes out the window, and it certainly doesn't make bullying okay.

16 Jun 2026 19:20:50
OMG, it was supposed to be banter, hence it's posted in the banter- section.

16 Jun 2026 19:26:26
Jesus Christ, man, what's this forum becoming ? Come on to a banter page to find banter and then get offended.

16 Jun 2026 19:25:18
Gazza did I mention anyone or single anyone out? No it was a generic comment aimed at anyone and everyone for a laugh. And to call me a bully, have a word with yourself mate.

16 Jun 2026 19:35:37
I'm pretty sure it was nothing personal or meant to put anyone down, Gazza, as no one knew why u use it, and wasn't directed at anyone in particular or those with difficulties, more just about ChatGPT itself. As someone also with neuro divergent issues, it's easy to see offence where none was actually intended. Or at least that's me anyway.

16 Jun 2026 19:38:37
Banter is when everyone is laughing. If you can't have banter without ridiculing how someone communicates, or belittling people, that's your issue, not mine. Slapping a banter label on it is just an easy way to avoid taking accountability for a cheap shot.

And, calling people offended just because they draw a line at bullying is the oldest, laziest excuse in the book.

It's not about being offended, it's about having standards.

You can have banter without targeting others and making them the butt of your jokes.

I'm done and won't be commenting further. Maybe do some self reflection.

16 Jun 2026 19:44:23
And, of course, I use it, that's why I posted about it. ? I only actually noticed recently that it inserted loads of hyphens. It was meant as a joke, there was absolutely no intention to offend anyone, and if I did, then I apologise.

16 Jun 2026 19:53:54
Get a grip, man, it was a joke. You're a grown man.

16 Jun 2026 20:24:55
Pretty sure Gazza is a lady.

16 Jun 2026 20:33:24
Am dyslexic and not great with words, but if you can't read it tuff. ??

16 Jun 2026 20:46:00
Do you believe in dog Ryan? ? One of my best mates is dyslexic and even slags himself as he can't read his boy books at bed time. He says he gets his boy to read him them. ??

16 Jun 2026 21:11:25
What am I reading here ? I've gone back and re-read the original post a few times to make sure. "Ridiculing and belittling", you seriously need to grow up if that's what you've taken from that. At no point did the poster belittle or ridicule anyone.

16 Jun 2026 21:22:18
That's not a hyphen - that was a hyphen.

ChatGPT defaults heavily to em dashes.

16 Jun 2026 21:59:49
Indeed, Marco, use of which often made me suspicious of e-mail content.

16 Jun 2026 22:08:24
What we're reading here is pure gaslighting and a classic defend the pack mentality.

Trying to mock folk and telling me to "grow up" is just the standard script used to protect a lazy internet culture where people think they should be allowed to say and do what they want and make cheap digs without any consequences, hiding behind a keyboard with no face.

A generic apology that relies on technicalities isn't an apology, it's just deniability. Everyone on here knows exactly who was being targeted by the post.

Trying to shame someone for drawing a line at bad behavior is transparent and weak. As I said, I'm moving on to the football now. Have the last word if you need it.

16 Jun 2026 22:20:50
Why would anyone care if anyone uses AI? I honestly couldn't do my job without it these days. My work currently involves a lot of IT work, which isn't my strength (if I even have one). To be honest, I spend most of my day arguing with the AI. It constantly blames me for mistakes, even though I'm just following its instructions, which actually isn't too different from being on here.

Using it to rewrite my thoughts and tidying up reports is one of the things it does really well, so can understand people using it.

Ultimately, people should use whatever tools they need to fill any skill gaps they have and get the job done. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Having said that, I just checked my punctuation 3 times before I hit reply. ?

16 Jun 2026 22:50:53
??? Big dado that did make me laugh, I can read perfectly in my head but not out loud and my spelling is atrocious. But I get past ok. ?
