Guy's what's your thinking in regards to how we're going to set up going forward? If Rohl knows, or thinks Chermiti is staying and we've just bagged shanks, not long ago purchased Naderi, with Miovski and Danilo, do we reckon his prefferd set up will be 2 up top? Obviously Chermiti is our no1 striker, surely shanks knows that so it makes me think shanks has possibly had assurances that it'll be 2 up top, or there could be a situation where he finds himself third choice if Naderi goes up a few levels, would he have signed and go from being the main man starting every week to the possibility of that scenario? Or is he the type to just set out a team dependent on who we play?

Horses for Courses, as they say. I'm not convinced there will be a first choice. Shankland hasn't signed to be a bench warmer though.

I think Chermiti with Shankland just behind will be his preferred option, BoyBlue.
And that concerns me, as Chermiti plays better with someone doing his donkey work (Naderi).
I don't see Shankland playing that role, so it might be horses for courses in certain games.
And you would like to think we are fighting on all fronts domestically and in Europe.
So there might just be game time for 4 out the 5. Still think Miovski and Danilo will be moved on if possible.
And I also like Naderi. His movement in the box is excellent. Might just surprise a few this season.

Chermiti has Naderi and Miovski to partner him up front, they are just as good as Shankland, who is 3 years too late getting to Ibrox, it's the defence roll needs to. Look at.

Shanks is better than Naderi and Miovski, behave, Reggie.

I personally don't think Shanks would have got that assurance at all, bb4, I don't think we will constantly play two up top. I think it will change depending who we play. We can't be stuck on one formation as that has been the downfall of many managers over the last few years.

Naderi won't make the grade at Rangers. Loan deal will be the likely outcome for him. Bags of enthusiasm but not much else.

I think we will sign another forward, but, as per the Rangers supporters (?) way, he will be rubbish, won't make the grade and be loaned/sold. I think this is the better way to do it as 10 games is far too much time to give a player to show they are decent.

Neither do I, Storm. It was just a thought to see what others were thinking. I still think Miovski and Danilo will be moving on as well, mp. I hope so anyway. Reggie Naderi has proved nothing yet, mate, so to say he's as good as Miovski or Shanks is very premature. Hope that's not the case all the time. ?

BB4, I think the set up will change as and when.
However, if he does play mostly with one up top then I reckon Shanks would get most Sundays and Chermiti most Thursdays in Europe.
As many have said on here, Chermiti seeks to go up a level and provide the goods in the bigger games, whereas Shanks is your man against the so called lesser teams in the SPL.
Not saying it's wise to change every week, but both suited to certain opponents / occasions.

I have absolutely no doubt that Chermiti is Rangers no.1 striker and I don't think there's any doubt Rohl thinks the same. ? I honestly think if Chermiti is still at Rangers next season he'll be outstanding for us, and if not player of the year, certainly one of the best players in the league.
? He's only going to get better and better, and is extremely talented. ? ??

I'm still convinced Rohl is playing 4222 the majority of our games. Something he said about our summer recruitment, done that, he said his recruitment team now know what set up he will be using, just after changing it.

I think that also, My star, ? Reggie, Shankland will play/start a lot of Rangers games for me, and correctly so, just like DTB has stated. He's not here to sit on the bench as he ticks every box for me. ? Shanks is now a very much improved all round striker with very good movement and is a terrific natural finisher.
? Not to mention he's a leader and we need a lot more leaders. ? He starts most games with Chermiti for me. ? ??
