Anyone any idea what Mr Cavenagh said to the fans today? We've just seen the worst Celtic team in years win yet another title and we've spent millions to finish 3rd in a 2 horse race. Just numbing watching it - their fans must take this for granted now.

I am absolutely crestfallen mate.
I knew they would do it because they have winners in their team. We have serial losers.
I don't know where we go from here. They are going to win a double, which is worse. The only going thing is all be down the West of England, thankfully, by then.

16 May 2026 15:08:45
I'm probably at the lowest I've ever been supporting Rangers. I feel sorry for my lad; at 21, he's only seen 1 title, and I keep saying our time will come. I'm starting to doubt that. I agree, Strom, we have serial losers throughout the club.

Where are the folks that were saying exciting times ahead a few months ago? I only see us getting worse and them getting better. Fernandes, Rommens, Chermiti are the only players I would keep; none of the rest will win us anything.

16 May 2026 15:19:24
They always find a way, absolutely dejected. ?
I don't think they've beat Hearts this season, but manage to do it on the day the chips are down, and it really matters, something our club seem incapable of.

16 May 2026 15:21:03
We need to move forward from this. With serious, dedicated professionals, smaller squad and humility, we can get past this season.

16 May 2026 15:21:25
We need to do something because Celtic will not be as poor as they've been for parts of this season again. They will strengthen. A 74 year, who was brought out of retirement, has won a title and will do the double. What a bad look for Scottish football.

16 May 2026 15:28:08
You do realise that to be serial winners (or losers) you need to be given time to build a series. We never give anything time, so until we give time our players will never become serial anything. Only 4 of our starting 11 and 1 on the bench had played before this season for us.

I know there were more over the course of the season, but not many. So build on what we have, rather than throwing it all away and starting again from scratch is what I hope we do.

16 May 2026 15:50:35
TJ, I turn 25 Monday and I've only seen 1 title same as your lad. It's a sad state of affairs and I can't wait for a period of sustained success that my dad saw. It will come in, but we have to be patient.

Continually sacking managers and looking for short terms success will only push us back further. Let's try something else for a change and see where it takes us.

16 May 2026 15:53:11
They appointed a winner though, Angus. And people and players who never gave up. Nothing against Rohl in that, but O'Neil didn't need time, just the right mentality and a better group of players. (Aside from that, we gave players like Tav years and years, and he has left never learning or having a winning mentality.)

16 May 2026 16:08:36
Time to stop project managers and project players. Rather than buy 10 players again in the 2-5 million bracket and bring in 5 or 6 loans, why don't we buy 4 or 5 players who are more expensive but should be better quality, maybe 1 or 2 loans at most. Add a couple in the winter, then do the same again next summer. In other words, take 18 months to try to build a proper side instead of this scattergun approach that leads to a rebuild every summer because we buy bulk rubbish - but be upfront with the fans that it might take that long.

We are sick of this rinse and repeat failure of sacking managers, taking another punt on a largely unproven manager and rebuilding a team and nothing changes. The fans will buy into a slightly longer, better building of a team with a safer pair of hands in charge if it's going to lead to success. The constant attempts to fast track our way to success don't work.

Seeing quite a few comments across all socials that ownership still backing Rohl.

16 May 2026 16:29:56
That's the right way to go, Jack, but unfortunately, because we didn't do that, we need another big rebuild. Think we lose about 10 players before even looking at ones we want to sell.

16 May 2026 16:31:12
Jackboy55, I've heard boards numerous times say it was going to take time.

I heard Gerard, Beale, Clement, Martin all say it was going to take time. Look what happened to all of them. Booted at the first sign of trouble because our fan base turns as soon as results aren't going how they want.

Hopefully Cavenagh and the rest of the board are strong enough to give Rohl that time and not crumble to fan pressure.

Something needs to change, because what we've been doing clearly isn't working.

16 May 2026 16:39:38
Angus, we need the right manager to give time, not a project inexperienced one that is not that good. ?

16 May 2026 16:41:13
Kaiser, he had a squad in the main who had been over the course before so knew how to win. That was the difference I think in the end. He just came in and reminded them what they have been doing for years. I also think the set up they have as a club is different to what we have had for years and because of that they are more geared to being successful.

It needs all of the elements to be successful. We seem to be g
Jack, I agree and that is the project we need to buy into as fans. Until we give the time we will be doing the same forever. Gerrard won a league because we gave him 3 years to build that squad and mentality. With additions I think next year we can be back there again if we down just get rid of everyone.

16 May 2026 16:42:29
Superb post, Kasier. I know it wasn't going to happen, but if we had O'Neill as manager we would have won the league, just my opinion.

He is an outstanding manager, and has been proven today by winning the league with the worst Celtic team in years, but still better than us and Hearts.

No other manager wins them that title.

League tables don't lie, best team wins the league. Even though it pains me to say it.

16 May 2026 18:20:07
I'm curious who is the right Manager?

I don't think that's possible to say until there's been some success.

We could get who the fans think is the right one, and they're not. Next thing, he's honking after a few results and then it's get him out.

Is the right manager only one who comes in and gets instant success?

I think we need to look at ourselves as a fanbase, our sense of entitlement, impatience, arrogance, expectations.

I understand it's hard, it's painful, but sacking managers every 6 months because things aren't going our way surely isn't the answer. It's harmful to the club financially and on other levels. It creates distrust among all.

16 May 2026 18:26:48
Rohl will be backed to rid the team of the serial losers that have let the team down for years.
