Right lads. Yesterday is gone.
Let's move on.
Gerrard is looking like he's the new Burnley man. Closer to home than Glasgow too so he won't backtrack. Grandfather now too.
Muscat I'm not sure it's going to be him.
Who do we all want as next manager?
Genuinely any name u would pick from a realistic perspective so not klopp.

Stevie G, we've got a manager mate. ?
11 May 2026 17:50:18
We've not even got a manager, we have a weak as water head coach.

With the numbers mentioned we're 100% better with Rohl.

Sausage roll is a PE teacher at best. Anybody that thinks otherwise is completely detached from reality.

Oliver Glasner, if we could attract him to this league.

Hopefully a mutual agreement can be made with Danny and he's removed from his job. Inexperience has cost him and another bad appointment from Cavanagh!!

I would love that, Wsl, but I very much doubt we could get him.
Also, Coops is right, we currently have head coach/manager, whatever you want to call him.

Danny Rohl has a Champions League winners medal. He is close personal friends with the current Barcelona manager, with whom he learned his trade. Calling him a PE teacher is a bit derogatory, is it not?
11 May 2026 19:16:45
McInnes or Gerrard. ?
11 May 2026 19:45:50
Learned his trade lol, he needs to go back to night school and brush up on the basics then, as it just not happening for him, you can't honestly be defending what we've witnessed recently. The playing out from the back tactics should get him the boot, never mind anything else.

Stevie G, has Rohl been sacked? If not, why are we talking about who we want for the next manager?
While we still have a manager in place, I'd rather not even think about more upheaval.
Are we going to sack managers every time we have a spell of unwanted results? It's not realistic!

When Gerard left, we were underwhelming as a team. Yes, we were leading, but football was dire. Gerard didn't sell players on when he should have, and it cost the club millions. He won us an important title - coincidentally in a year when we weren't allowed a mid season break. He struggled to get us over the line from good positions in other seasons. He couldn't win a cup. His stock since leaving us has gone down. Positives were performances in Europe, and he signed some good players. I don't believe we have given any managers since then enough time. The only manager/coach I wanted rid was Russell Martin. He was the wrong fit for our club.
I'm disappointed with the way things have turned out, and I repeat, something must have happened in La Manga. The big problem in these games has been attitude. I don't think it's poor mentality, just the wrong mentality. And the Motherwell game was so important that not to start all guns blazing was a mistake. We have too many luxury players, and unfortunately their replacements are also luxury players. Again, a legacy from RM's time. One transfer window and 3 permanent signings have all made positive starts. We have stock by a manager at some point. Oh, and maybe if we had a few decisions go our way in big games, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Fantastic post, Bear Abroad. Totally agree.
