21 Apr 2026 13:21:45
Boy Blue, because he didn't look like he wanted to be on the park against United, what has he done since 2023 then? Expect to miss around 40 games through injuries. I would love hearing those lies, like.
He finished the 2024 season with 26 goals and 9 assists. These aren't lies These are facts. That's what he's done since 2023.
21 Apr 2026 13:31:17
Seems to have done not too bad prior to the mistake of moving to Wolfsburg.
Which by all accounts is quite a toxic environment currently.
21 Apr 2026 13:42:00
Very cool Boy Blue, I thought he was in Italy at that time. He's still missed around 40 games through injuries since 2023, that doesn't seem to get mentioned anywhere. Are you saying he looked like he was even interested in that United game? Certainly not what I got, and wasn't the only one. I can remember you saying he ran from one corner to the other corner of the park, that could only have been the Celtic game, in which I said he worked for 45 minutes.
He doesn't improve massively. Are you still wanting him signed? Because he's showed not very much in a Rangers jersey, I definitely wouldn't be paying his transfer fee and his salary unless he improves drastically. Hopefully he will, but I have a very funny feeling he won't start many more games now though.
21 Apr 2026 14:13:15
If we sign Olsen it will be the biggest transfer disaster since Torre Andre Flo, and, in fact, would be worse as Flo at least returned 1 in 2 goals and returned £6m transfer fee in way out.
Olsen would be like throwing money down the toilet.
21 Apr 2026 14:33:41
What is it I am missing about Olsen? He has been utter dugmeat for us, hides in games, doesn't take his man on and has been subbed twice in a row by Rohl at HT because of how poor he has been. Forget about signing him, we can't play him in any of the last 5 games as he is dreadful. ?
21 Apr 2026 14:36:27
Olsen has 5 games left to change the perception and people's minds imho - but firstly he needs to look as if he wants to be here as those 5 audition stages will pass quickly. ??
21 Apr 2026 14:37:30
No mystar, I've been quite vocal about it being a risk. I think people need to get off the boy's back though. People on here read comments like yours about doing nothing since 2023, the false information about his salary etc. and give them more false reasons to have a go at the guy. You say other people said he didn't want to be on the park, that's just an opinion, it doesn't mean it's true because you and a couple of others said it, it's just like you highly rate Chermiti but loads of posters on here still aren't convinced, it's opinion because 2 or 3 people say the same thing doesn't make it true.
Yes, he has missed plenty games, all the more reason to suggest he wasn't going to come in and rip it up straight away. You're the most vocal on here about players being afforded time, but somehow Skov is different. Not wanting to be on the park and your confidence being shot to pieces are 2 completely different things. As I've said, I'll give the boy the support he obviously needs, while you talk about him doing nothing from 2023, not wanting to be on the park and his injuries.
21 Apr 2026 14:55:03
Boy blue players wearing that Rangers jersey will always have my support. Fine talking about him on here, as long as it's not in Ibrox. Only salary I'm seeing is 2.7m. On present showing he's not worth a fraction of that. Yes I do give players time, but Olsen scared me before signing, as I knew he's missed around 40 games in the last few seasons, and his transfer fee and salary will cost us around 15m all in.
On present showing he's worth nothing like that figure. Hopefully he stands out in the remaining games, but again I think he'll struggle for starts. This us winning the league means he signs is bullocks as far as I am concerned. He'd need to help win the league and, on present showing, he's so far away from that.
21 Apr 2026 15:15:15
Amarissima veritas est melior dulcissimis mendaciis. Agreed BB. ?
21 Apr 2026 15:23:21
Fork, BB4 I agree entirely.
21 Apr 2026 15:35:20
Er. Whit? Well said, Fork. I think?
21 Apr 2026 15:36:12
Be better writing that in English, Fork.
21 Apr 2026 15:39:31
It's a Latin phrase meaning a bitter truth is always better than a sweet lie.
21 Apr 2026 15:41:52
Guys, we're signing Skov, you need to get used to it.
Said it already, you don't put this much effort into the media to tell you about his situation if you have no intentions of signing him later.
Fans hate future planning, you can't say oh we spent 9m next season and then potentially lose a league title, you'll lose your mind like you know better.
21 Apr 2026 15:48:16
Semper Fidelis. ?
21 Apr 2026 15:50:33
It doesn't seem like it, Mystar. I've yet to see you post anything supportive of him, it's not like you tbh, you're usually battling with posters to give our players support, something I've always liked about you, mate.
Nice one Fork. ?
21 Apr 2026 15:53:54
No worries BB. ??
21 Apr 2026 15:55:27
Semper Veritas. ?
21 Apr 2026 15:56:41
There's no way that lad gets a permanent contract after what he's shown us. Not a chance.
The 'try before you buy' piece of this deal will prove to be a very shrewd bit of business by Rangers.
21 Apr 2026 15:59:00
Boy Blue, only because it seems my fear about Olsen is being proved correct, mate, I just hope he can turn it on in the remaining games, but honestly can't see it.
You must have missed my post after the Celtic game then.
21 Apr 2026 16:07:00
That's not up to us, MVG. The club will make that decision either way. More knowledgeable people than us will decide, no matter what those in the ayes and nays continue to say.
21 Apr 2026 16:08:07
Marco, serious question.
Where in the deal does it stipulate a "try before you buy" element?
I know of a deal where there is an option to make permanent.
Some say an obligation if certain conditions are met.
I know that Wolfsburg wanted an obligation, but, through negotiations, settled with an option.
One would assume that, during these negotiations, parameters were put in place to satisfy both parties.
21 Apr 2026 16:08:41
Sure we all want him to do well, boy, just needs to show he's still got the hunger to do well in the game.
If that's gone, it wd probably be better for Andreas if he plied his trade somewhere less demanding. Ibrox can be a very unforgiving environment.
21 Apr 2026 16:11:53
I don't want him signed for what he is showing on the park. But that is a separate discussion as a lot seem to mix it up with the last 5 games, which the most important thing.
If Rohl picks Olsen or brings him on as a sub, I'll be right behind him 100%.
Fans need to support everyone on that pitch in these next 5 games, and am surprised at some of comments as some say they always back every player.
Which just isn't true by the comments.
Fork, lovely words and very true.
Bb4, it's pointless, better aff banging your head of a brick wall mate.
21 Apr 2026 16:13:41
That is correct, Fork, but with the evidence on show, it must be highly unlikely.
21 Apr 2026 16:14:19
Olsen must be doing something right at training to get selected.
21 Apr 2026 16:19:24
Mystar, maybe I did miss your post, but I haven't missed 10/15 negative posts. I can remember people on here saying Dio wasn't showing much after 6 months here, you were defending him, saying he'll come good given time. So don't understand why some get 6 months but others get 8 games, it's bizarre.
21 Apr 2026 16:19:47
He's getting up to speed, that's why he plays, y'all would have done the same to Steven Davis if his name wasn't Steven Davis when he came in on his 6 months loan
You know options can change to obligations, right? To me it's obvious the option is in case he gets injured.
We're signing him, get used to it. Genuinely ask yourself how many times in the media have Rangers put this much effort into convincing you a guy will come good eventually?
It's because he's coming in next season.
You judge far too harshly, far too quickly, far too often. Same people questioned Fernandes at the start of the season.
Treat him like Steven Davis. He's got the quality, he'll be good after a pre season, which was always the point on bringing him in. He was a hope for this season but guaranteed to kick on next season.
You don't like future planning, so don't expect the board to tell you that's the case
21 Apr 2026 16:23:02
Guys, don't start this. We spent a lot of money on someone and no, we're going to make it impossible for them to play nonsense. How does that help the club at all?
A percentage of the fanbase are desperate for Chermiti to fail, to them it's better to be right than for the club to do well.
The more money you spend, the more you need to back them, not sit and go. It's too much money, why isn't he contributing, Omg, why isn't he the best player in the league, why isn't he performing day one.
Nonsense.
21 Apr 2026 16:24:11
I was excited about Olsen when we signed him, but he has been majorly disappointing. He doesn't want to take his man on. He offers no attacking value. For a winger, he passes the ball back a lot. He's been such a poor addition.
The point is that he was brought in to be good now, because if he's not, then we have no reason to justify the fee to keep him. I would rather that money be spent on securing Djiga. ?
21 Apr 2026 16:24:28
Massive difference with backing every player in Ibrox, that must be too much for some.
So Rangers win the league and that's his obligation, without him bringing very much, poor if true, personal feel, this would be miles worse than Cortes, bigger transfer fee and far bigger salary.
Let's just hope he turns up in the remaining games.
21 Apr 2026 16:27:29
Florida, just rename him to Steven Davis in your mind and give him time. He's here next season whether you like it or not. Your negative attitude is not helpful. Why do certain supporters constantly put our high value signings under pressure?
We need those signings to work out. Back him.
21 Apr 2026 16:30:16
Florida, it is understandable to expect better and I don't think anyone out there does not expect better.
But to say he offers no attacking value is completely untrue.
1 goal, 3 assists. Goal involvement in 50% of matches played.
That is value. Empirical proof that he offers an attacking value.
No one in the Rangers squad offers a goal involvement in 50% of matches played.
21 Apr 2026 16:30:57
Boy Blue, Fgs man, I clearly saw something in Diomande, right now I'm seeing nothing in Olsen.
21 Apr 2026 16:44:10
I am the same Mystar. I see nothing at all in Olsen and I do not see what is wrong about viewing that. Sixteenninety, you don't know who is here and who isn't next season. You may see it as negative, but I see it as being real son. ?
21 Apr 2026 17:14:53
Fork, if we can't discuss topics because there are better people qualified to do so than us, what is the point of this forum?
Aphelion, the loan and option *is* the try before you buy. An obligation would be a different story and a poor piece of business in this case.
Not a chance that lad gets signed permanently if we hold an "option" imo.
21 Apr 2026 16:47:03
He hardly brings anything, a good 45 minutes against Celtic, and very briefly good moments, and he got a assist for an effort on goal against United. The worst game he's had in Rangers colours, it looked like he different want to be on that park, probably the reason I've given him it tight, he showed not one bit or grit or fight in that game, a very important match.
He needs to show from now if he's called on, he's a January signing for getting this league won, not next years.
21 Apr 2026 17:15:16
Aphe, do you actually watch the Rangers games and recognise how bad Olsen has been? ?
21 Apr 2026 17:21:31
Hey Fork, ?
Just to let you know that I watched a video on YouTube not long ago with Frank Lampard.
Did you know that he was very good at the old Latin language and got himself an A+.
So, if you ever bump into him in the street or a shop, etc., you should rattle off some Latin stuff to him and have a wee conversation, and nobody who is in the close vicinity will have a clue what both of you are saying.
21 Apr 2026 17:28:40
Fair point MVG, but it won't make a difference either way no matter how long we "debate" it.
21 Apr 2026 17:28:43
You could compare Olsen with Davis, who I admit I probably didn't want signed after that first 6 months, and I was wrong, but you could also compare him to big name loanees of the past who were rightly binned, Ramsay, to name but one. Each case is unique.
Without getting into the arguments about his mental health and the support he needs and deserves to get, my concern is that if he lacks the strong mentality to play for Rangers, that's something we can't teach him. Playing for Rangers isn't the right fit for every player.
21 Apr 2026 17:30:26
Florida, yes I watch as much as I can.
I recognize that he has been poor and I expect much better, although I am acutely aware that whilst in poor form he is still providing and empirically proven attacking value.
I have not defended performances and I have said that criticisms regarding that is completely fair.
I don't write players off after 8 matches.
If it were up to some on here, Ally McCoist would have been sent packing and never reached the levels he did.
Cerny was deemed a failure after 4 months, now hero worshipped.
Sima deemed a failure after 4 months, now people desperately want back.
Moore absolutely terrible at start of his Rangers career.
Now people want to spend 15+ million pounds.
21 Apr 2026 17:30:28
I don't believe Skov Olsen will be a Rangers player next season. He's not even good enough to be a starter for us, so why spend 7m (which would be a massive chuck out of our entire summer budget)? I'd rather play Curtis than Olsen next season.
Olsen might have had it at one point, but it's gone now. No confidence, no interest. He's hiding in games, getting subbed at halftime, not taking players on, etc. He has failed here.
21 Apr 2026 17:31:24
No, Marco, the option is protections. I understand Rangers wanted to be protected against serious long term injury.
21 Apr 2026 17:36:18
Only if the pigeons translate, cheers. ? ? ? 50 years ago, bud, I'm auld. ?
21 Apr 2026 17:43:03
Ok, Aphe, thanks for that breakdown. I respect your opinion, but just can't see it myself. Skov Olsen looks a player bereft of any pace, physicality, mentality, or confidence required to succeed with us.
I don't think he was as bad in the first few games as he was made out, but he's getting worse, if anything.
He looks a player happy or content to play on the fringes of a game. With the greatest of respect, we could get Scott Wright back to do that at a fraction of the cost, if that's what he's going to give us.
Subbed twice now at HT, and has made it past 75 minutes once. It's not looking good at all. ?
21 Apr 2026 17:47:06
He's played ten games and showed up for probably an hour in those games. He needs some fire and fight for wearing that jersey, instead of looking like he couldn't be arsed, because that's all I got from him against United.
I'm done posting about him. I've had my say. Hopefully he turns it around. I'd be well happy with that.
21 Apr 2026 17:57:03
Certainly feels like it at times, Storm.
He brings nothing, Mystar? So, did you miss his lovely goal where he put it top bins, or his set up of Chermiti for the goal you described as one of the best in the Old Firm, or his other 2 assists? Is that bringing nothing to you? Really? You contradict the life out of yourself on here, mate.
Not one person on here is saying his form has been good enough, but to say he brings nothing to suit your argument is nothing more than a blatant lie. You can't have a goal involvement in 50% of games and bring nothing; it's impossible. ?
21 Apr 2026 18:05:30
The problem, Florida, for me is negativity isn't equality applied across everyone, everywhere, at all times across any sport.
He should be seen as a potential Stevin Davis instead of being seen as a non contributor. His stats are still pretty decent, if he keeps trending in that direction, he'll be good for us.
He's 100% a next season signing, done and dusted, or they would not make any effort to tell you all this in the media; he'd disappear into the background and we wouldn't sign him.
Back him, please. It's going to cost us 9m and we're going to make it easy for the media to put pressure on him like all of our high value signings recently, while Celtic high value signings seem to stay out the spotlight.
21 Apr 2026 18:06:28
Great post BB4. Very well written.
21 Apr 2026 18:08:26
You'll never see people say the same about Raskin, and that tells you about the general bias. Raskin, imo, only turns up every 2-3 months, and I feel he's been playing safe all season to stay fit for the World Cup.
He's supposed to be the best player in the team. Tav will fall into serial loser if Raskin leaves after the World Cup, and he doesn't win the league, how would he not worse? Tav's won stuff and drove us to a Euro final.
Surely you win and lose game by the performance of your best player? I'll be shocked the first time I see anyone pointing out he's playing safe like first vs second 45 minutes in the recent game.
21 Apr 2026 18:13:47
Sixteen, nothing is 100% on here. ? I would rather see that sort of outlay being spent on Djiga. It's all about opinions at the end of the day, both good and bad. ???
21 Apr 2026 18:17:20
Teah, to be fair, I am stating it like it's a fact. I just believe based on the media narrative it's going to happen 100% and I'd rather start backing him now than wait until the summer, cause he could still contribute in a big way during the split.
We win the league. We can spend on both comfortably.
21 Apr 2026 18:26:54
Ohh my god, roll on Sunday.
I have been diagnosed with severe SkovOlitis.
Skov this and Skov that on nearly every thread on this forum for the past week has started taking its toll on me.
I have now reached Defcon 5, which is the highest level of boredom possible.
Please hurry up Sunday so that we can talk about the football and bring back some sanity to the forum.
21 Apr 2026 18:55:36
Boy Blue, he is nowhere near bringing enough and you know that, he got an assist for an effort of goal, you maybe look at his stats and think he's doing well, but when you see him in the flesh it's a different story.
I said he had a good 45 minutes against Celtic. Yes, a nice finish, but he has brought very little.
21 Apr 2026 19:03:38
SixteenNinety, you have made a lot of valid points, but the key issue that you are missing for me is the fee.
You reference the Steve Davis situation a lot, how he was poor when he signed in January and came good the following season, which is 100% true. However, what you have failed to mention is he was a Bosman!
And that's the key.
If the club announces tomorrow that we have signed Olsen on a Bosman for next year, the narrative totally changes.
What a great deal! Hopefully Danny can get him back to his best! Etc etc.
However, that's not the case. What people actually see is Rangers potentially signing an out of form player (who might never regain their previous form), which doesn't offer anything in the way of workrate and determination, making him one of the highest paid players at the club and using a huge proportion of the transfer kitty to do so.
That optimistic view point changes to one of negativity and incompetence!
21 Apr 2026 19:44:40
Bb4, good reply to be honest.
That's why I take nothing to do with him now. He is a walking talking contradiction. Am just glad others are seeing it now.
Sixteen, what % of Rangers fans want Chermiti to fail? I would say no Rangers fans want any Rangers player to fail.
Also, having a go at people for being negative about Olsen, then be negative about Raskin ? is a bit of a contradiction, is not?
21 Apr 2026 20:05:26
We will win or lose the league depending on how committed Raskin is. If we lose, he will be a big reason why, again, I don't understand why you can't see he isn't playing with the same intensity as other seasons because of the World Cup.
No, the Raskin example highlights that when things go wrong certain players, who are supposed to be the best in the team, escape criticism.
This will not be Raskin's best season for us.
He's been half committed all season. It's pointed out because you cannot say anything negative while failing to say anything positive about anyone else.
You guys can't keep that same energy for everyone.
I'm using Steven Davis as an example because him and Defoe kicked on after the split.
You guys need to get over spending money on players and I'll say it again, your negativity makes it easy for the Celtic media.
21 Apr 2026 20:07:58
Where is the walking contradiction coming from, ??? that must only be in heads that don't understand things.
21 Apr 2026 21:21:14
Your level of hubris and lack of self awareness is actually astounding, no matter how often its pointed out, you refute it and display a level of utter conceit.
21 Apr 2026 21:42:09
Fork, Boy blue is comparing about seeing something in Diomande when others seen nothing for months, and they are trying to compare it with seeing nothing much in Olsen, you see what you want, man, because you probably know yourself I couldn't give one toss about what you think, or anyone. My only point is Olsen has shown us nothing worth costing Rangers around 15m.
21 Apr 2026 22:03:41
Hubris is a nice wee word Fork, and I had to look it up in the dictionary to find its meaning. ??
21 Apr 2026 22:35:59
Yes, it is 3 cheers and extremely accurate. ?
21 Apr 2026 22:40:04
Very accurate, Fork. ?
21 Apr 2026 22:40:12
My star will you say Raskin has done nothing too? Because out of 45 mins first half Celtic and the second 45 mins recent game what performance has he actually put in?
He's a master of down tooling when he's not happy, fell out with 2 managers, was leaking the team but Skov's got to get it instead when he's not even fit yet?
Raskin's effort will decide if we win a title, Skov's won't
You guys live in fantasy land that's he's better than Lundstram, he's not, he's never performed like Lundstrams euro form, JL got 7 MoM in his first 7 games. Rewriting history at every turn to make out a guy whose achieved nothing is better than someone who was the best on earth.
If you live in a world where Raskin has put in higher level of performances for us than Lundstram did I cannot help you, you have no ability to think and or no memory of what actually happened, he is average for us most games, no better than an Aasgaard, living off potential, the odd performance, and an international status that is meaningless since he wouldn't play in the Scotland 11.
You pick and choose who you want to be negative about, you don't even think for yourself it's always the popular negative opinion.
If you didn't pick and choose you'd be happy to agree that if anyone should be taking the brunt for this poor season, it's Raskin.
When I'm negative about someone you choose to like, its defend defend defend, how about you be consistent?
If you agree Raskin is the best player then you agree he should take all the criticism, instead of people like Tav who are at the end of their career.
You realise if we don't win a title Raskin will have been a big culprit in that and I guarantee you he takes no criticism, what team in world football let's their 'best' player under perform for free week after week?
22 Apr 2026 00:28:02
Sixteen Ninety may be a Tim, but he makes a great argument tbf.
