Just reading through the posts on mental health and just wanted comment on this.
I lost my daughter who was only 24 in 2020 and she suffered from mental health problems but like has been said the services back then were spread thin and tbh I don't think she got the help she needed and felt like she was just being ignored by professionals in the field. I them was on lockdown as I do call centre work and still am doing this to date, what I would like to say is I really struggle with mental health at times and although my work are understanding I don't get paid if I am off and in turn I don't think it helps to then get to a better place when all you do is worry about wages, I think the government and also employers to try and help financially if you are off with mental health because worrying about how to pay the bills but trying to deal with mental breakdown s is so hard an worrying about the bills probably makes me even worse tbh.

My heart goes out to you. Like many others on here, I've struggled for years. So many pressures on people these days, it can be difficult to see a way out. SAMH are a really good starting point for support.

Sorry to hear that Colzy, stay strong, bro, and there's always plenty of good people on here willing to listen and chat with.

Sad to hear that, mate. To lose your daughter is tragic. I'm fortunate that I haven't suffered, although I have a partner who had severe post natal depression and still struggles with anxiety often.

It's hard to know how to help and what to say, as sometimes nothing seems right.
I do agree massively that the pressures of modern life are putting an undue burden on many.

Sorry to hear this. All the best Colzy. ?

Tragic Colzy, so sorry to hear that. I agree with every word, mate. Was in a similar position 15 odd years ago, being off work with depression, and you're so right, it's so difficult to focus on the problem when you don't have a wage coming into the house, and that then becomes the bigger problem, you end up back at work with same problem you left for.

Sorry to hear that, Colzy. Take care, mate.

Colzy, I feel and understand your pain. Take heed in that you carry her in your heart every day. Let the gd memories in and afford yourself a smile. Your lass would want that bud. ??
