Here's a Q, would you be happy with the resilience in getting back in the running from where we were, if we don't win the title?

08 Apr 2026 09:13:49
Good question, complex to answer.

A. I would never be "happy" with defeat but I would be proud of the fact we got back into the fight.

I would be happy with the job done by Danny Rohl and no matter the outcome of this season I remain convinced that Danny is the correct man for the job.

Understanding more than happy, but pissed at missing out.

It's in our hands, so regardless of what happened before, we are in a position where we can win it.

While Rohl has done well, any other season Celtic would be miles ahead. Their Nancy appointment was a disaster.

08 Apr 2026 09:39:20
No, I'll be ripping it if we fek this up again.

08 Apr 2026 10:28:05
Bee, our RM appointment was more of a disaster don't you think. Hearts are fortunate that both Celtic and Rangers were dung.

08 Apr 2026 11:14:30
That's a cracker of a question, Fork.
From where we were under Martin, it's a miracle we are back in it at all.
And we've been helped by Celtic imploding on and off the park this year. With a disastrous appointment of their own.
But football is never set in stone at the start of a season.
Loss of form. Injuries to key players.

Tactics.
Can all derail a season.
Now that we are back in it, we have to grab this chance with both hands and do our best to now go on and win it.
However, the resilience from Rohl and the players has to be commended, especially considering the amount of under performing players under Martin who have become an asset under Rohl.

I'll obviously be gutted if we can't do it, but will be positive looking forward to next season, given what we've managed to turn around.

08 Apr 2026 12:45:11
If we lose it now I'd be absolutely gutted, but at the same time Danny needs huge praise for even getting us in this position. He's definitely the right man to take us forward. However, I would like to see us play better football next season as we've been horrible to watch for most of the season, I don't hold that against him, though, as he had to make us hard to beat when he came in, probably taking away from how he wanted us to play.

Brilliant question, Fork. ?

08 Apr 2026 12:48:04
After Russel Martin I didn't expect anything from this season to be honest, but the way we have fought back into contention and possible Champions League position, which would be massive for the club, massive for potential players and existing, and massive for Cavanagh for future investment, so I'd be gutted.

08 Apr 2026 13:23:02
100% no Fork, we got into a great place, dreadful team selection, tactics, substitutions via Motherwell, we r leading 1-0 and bring on defenders.

Livi 2-2, shocking performance, Celtic 2-2, unable to react to their halftime changes, six points thrown away.

08 Apr 2026 13:46:55
All fair points, guys. Cheers. ??

If I look at the season as a whole, in the event we don't win, I will look less to this part of the season than I would the opening round. We were handed one of our easiest opening 11 fixtures we have ever had. After those games, we should have been around the top of the league.

Instead, we were double figure points away.

For me, Martin completely blew that opportunity and will be where the league was lost. Know lots will blame Rohl, but his record on its own is Championship winning this year.
