Yesterday marked 8 years since the passing of our former player Ray Wilkins.
Not sure if we've done this one before but what would be your starting 11 made up of English players only who have played for Rangers?
For me:
Woods
Steven's Butcher Robert's Ball
Wilkins Gascoigne Steven
Wallace Hateley Walter's
Really liked Spackman, Hurlock, Defoe and even Kent for most of his time but can't find a place for them in this side.

Great team, Cooper. When we talk about English greats to have played for our club, we have to include James Tavernier in this conversation. What a servant and what returns for an RB. ?

Can't argue much with your team, Cooper 11. That's a fantastic talented team. ??? The only change I'd probably make would be I'd have Jermain Defoe instead of Rod 'the Prod' Wallace, and although I really rated and liked Rod Wallace, I'm just a massive fan of Defoe and think he was an even better striker than Wallace. ???

As for Tav stats, he wouldn't have got near a pen or a free kick in that team lol.

I've thought about that before and that's exactly the team I came up with. Most pick themselves, but Ball is in because I can't think of another decent left back, and Wallace ahead of Defoe and others because he had a great scoring record with us.
I am a big fan of Spackman and, just because I remember him filling in at centre half, I might play him there in place of Roberts. What a squad of players though. Ray Wilkins was a great player and a gentleman, he is really missed.

Love him or hate him, he has been a great servant to our club through the toughest of times. His returns for a defender are phenomenal, 4th overall in the world.
He also led us to within touching distance of European glory. He has to be included in the conversation when we talk about English greats to have played for Rangers. ?

FB, he didn't come into the conversation though, because Stevens hands down better than Tav. He couldn't lace his boots.

Storm Tav most definitely comes into the conversation of English greats to have played for our club. He has been a great servant through our toughest ever journey. Love him or hate him, you can't take away his returns. They are outstanding for a RB. ?

Agree with that, G4. Gary Stevens was a great player for both us and England. What I am saying, though, is Tav has been a brilliant servant to us and deserves a mention when talking about great English players to have played for us. ?
