Just saw DRs presser yesterday, the poor guy looks as if he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders. there's not anybody on this site that doesn't want him to succeed but his laid back personality might not be doing him any favours. I've no idea what's he like in the dressing room but at this moment in time we need fighting men and really bad losers.

He says repeatedly we have 9 cup finals, ill personality judge him from now to see if he can fire the team up, if we have another collapse it doesn't auger well for next season.

Don't think anyone expecting anything to be fair, just take one game at a time and see where we are at the end of each weekend.

14 Mar 2026 09:55:03
From what I've heard, he took the hinges off the manager's office door at Ibrox after last Sunday. He's not that laid back.

14 Mar 2026 10:09:51
Hope that's true, Rostosto. We'll see if it has any response. It's long overdue.

14 Mar 2026 10:17:02
BT, I know you might not be suggesting it, but the last thing we need to progress is to even consider changing the manager, no matter what happens to the end of the season. He possibly has a lack of experience in the number 1 role, but he is a smart manager and will learn from the whole thing, and learn about his squad, what he needs to go to the next step.

I also think the laid back element of him will help him through this. I think the days of the hairdryer treatment working with players have long gone. It may work with some still, but a modern coach needs to find ways to get the most out of every player, I think.

14 Mar 2026 10:25:18
Angus, I don't want rid of him, but do we actually know he will learn from his mistakes? I don't think we can say either way to be fair. We can hope he learns. Over the last 7 or so games, imo, he has been making mistakes with subs, and that has continued over a few games, but again it's just my opinion.

I want Danny Rohl head coach for next season, and I want the guy to be a success.

14 Mar 2026 10:31:39
Personally, I think this squad is a car crash. I'll judge Danny Rohl on what he does next season, with a group of his own players, playing the brand of football he wants.

This season was a write-off when Rohl came in. Celtic's disastrous appointment of Wilfred Nancy helped us to gain ground and get back into it, but the fact of the matter is this squad still isn't good enough.

It hasn't been good enough since the season's start.

If I were to sit here and write down a best eleven from the SPFL this season, very few Rangers players would be in it.

14 Mar 2026 11:18:40
Exactly, Cheese. Look at Rimmens and Chuck. Get a few guys like that in this summer and we can have a bright future. Too many people are judging Naderi. He works so hard, he can develop too.

14 Mar 2026 11:30:21
Angus, like most, I'm not advocating changing the manager, but we can't keep not winning must win games. I'm just wondering how Sir Alex or the great Walter Smith would deal with these next 9 games. Maybe sometimes the hairdryer treatment might have the desired effect.

14 Mar 2026 11:48:05
Hairdryer treatment doesn't magically make someone a better player. They either have it or they don't. Unfortunately, most of this squad don't.

14 Mar 2026 12:18:55
I am with @Strom on this. I feel a lot of our managers were so set in their way.
I have said on here many a time about the manager being so rigid that they are not learning. Time will tell if he is.
Rohl has next year for me. He has had most of the season to find his feet, to realise the magnitude of the job and the club, as well as the expectations of fans.

He has some of his players in, but not all. He is still working with a squad that is not good enough.

He has my support. If we get the League, amazing.

My expectation for next year is the League, and it's a must.

14 Mar 2026 12:25:04
I'm sure Thorntonsuite said he's no shrinking violet. ?

14 Mar 2026 13:02:45
Storm, all managers make mistakes, and we only know if they learn by giving them time to make the mistakes first of all. I also think there is a difference between what fans think is wrong and what actually is wrong, if indeed it is. Not meant as an insult or as an argument, just really, what experience do most of us have in that line other than watching football for most of our lives. He still has a limited squad where the changes he can make off the bench perhaps aren't what he would want to make, possibly as well. However, I do feel that whoever we have in charge will lose and draw games; perhaps even a few in a row, and that is usually where this wrong sub thing happens. How do we as fans know that making the subs we think would actually have made a difference.

BT, I thought you weren't suggesting it. Let's take Sir Alex as the perfect example.

At Aberdeen he won the title in his second season in charge. At Man United it took him just under 4 years to win his first trophy (the FA Cup), and almost 7 years to win his first title. He was close to being sacked before the FA Cup if rumour is to be believed. Wenger took 18-20 months at Arsenal. These are the best in the business, and they took time, which is why I always look for it from us. Like with Martin, if it isn't right from the off everyone can see; Martin being the perfect example.

Before anyone gets upset I am not suggesting we give Rohl 3 years, but let's at least give him well into next season (Christmas?) till we judge. We haven't won much for 13 years now, so do we really have anything to lose. If he is right then we will go on to be successful for seasons, I reckon, with the structure in place. If not we will still have that structure.

14 Mar 2026 13:09:53
I think that we get the same way with all the managers' pressers. They have to do them before and after every game, which could be 4 times in a week, and it must be tough to say anything different or even interesting while keeping certain things secret and being non-controversial. I also don't think it's fair to quiz him on the fan behaviour on Sunday and what it means for the fixture.

He's the team manager, not the club spokesman, and, knowing these questions would come up, he should have had somebody beside him that he could let answer. We did this to Clement, we shouldn't be doing it now.

14 Mar 2026 13:21:17
Wsl 100% correct. The press are asking as they hope he says something out of line, they can use to stir the pot either with our fans or the Celtic fans. They did it with ONeill as well, to an extent.

14 Mar 2026 14:37:19
Storm, you're correct, mate. We can only wait and see if our manager Danny Rohl has learned from some of the mistakes he's made over the last few weeks, but I personally think he's clever enough and a deep-thinking coach to have learned. ? Absolutely, for me Danny Rohl gets the full of next season to bring in his own players and build his own Rangers to hopefully win the league title, unless God forbid we have a terrible run of form early on next season.

? I'm still absolutely in the mind that we still have a chance to win the league title this season. ?

14 Mar 2026 16:52:16
I'm another that's relatively happy to see Rohl for another season. This season has been mental. Hearts have had a great season. Celtic pretty much blew their foot off with Nancy. We haven't been as good as we should be, and inconsistent. At least the manager appears to have a plan and I'd give him another season - and hopefully some better players.

14 Mar 2026 16:52:31
Rohl 100% deserves to be fully backed in the summer and given a full pre-season of his planning. Next year tho, if he wins nothing, he will be gone.

14 Mar 2026 18:39:29
I personally don't think Rohl will make it to the end of next season as Rangers manager. I don't know why, I just have that feeling.

14 Mar 2026 19:31:11
Strom, I know a few who are convinced he'll be gone at the end of the season. ??‍♂️?
