Moving on from the Old Firm game now, what should be our best 11 going forward in the way Rohl plays
For me Tav is back in and Djiga and manny are our best 2 defenders
Rommens is best left back but Meghoma has a part to play
Barron and Chucky would be my preferred 2 in mf 2
Moore as a 10 and I'd give Olsen the chance to prove himself but maybe Dio can also play as the other one at times.
Chermiti is best striker but I'd try him with Miovski for a few games
10 Mar 2026 09:22:40
Sterling has to be our rb ahead of Tav, I'd also start Barron ahead of Dio, and I'd look to play Antman if fit. 2 up doesn't get the best out of Naderi, so I'd look to start him through the middle, with 2 wingers either side and Moore behind him.
10 Mar 2026 09:32:40
Tav is in no way in our best 11.
10 Mar 2026 09:33:13
Ows, I ain't a fan of 442 or 4222, whatever that formation is.
10 Mar 2026 09:34:56
100% Storm. ?
10 Mar 2026 10:07:19
We need to play Naderi as a striker to see if he actually is a striker.
10 Mar 2026 10:21:58
Naderi is better suited in this league as a main striker rather than Chermiti, who will just keep on having the odd good game till he's sold.
10 Mar 2026 10:52:58
No, Stevie Sterling must start if fit; he is a far stronger right back.
For me, Chukwuani comes in for Diomande, and it's up for grabs on the right, as Olsen has been really disappointing.
Apart from those two changes, it's the same team that started on Sunday.
10 Mar 2026 11:56:59
I admit I forgot about Antman there, so I'd be giving him and Olsen the chance on the right.
As I said, that a for dr preferred formation is not a formation I would play either.
I think we miss Tav, and I'd play him ahead of Sterling apart from against Celtic.
Keep him healthy for that last Old Firm game, and maybe the Hearts game.
Perhaps a back 3 would suit us best. Sterling on right of defence and Tav at right mf.
10 Mar 2026 12:28:02
Laudrup, I tend to agree, but a player in that advanced position should find a way to score if he is good enough.
However, I would temper that by reminding people it's been
2 vs Celtic
1 vs Hearts
1 vs Motherwell
And, in Killie, Livi and Motherwell games he only had around 30min.
It's also a lot of big changes for a boy who is only 22.
Like, what I've seen so far, I need a few goals from him and others in the run-in.
10 Mar 2026 12:37:23
Going forward, we are only playing one game a week, so we can pick a team and, if it works, go with it, no rotation required. I would play Sunday's back four, Raskin and Chukwuani, and stick with two big boys up front. We've hardly tried it other than against our major rivals at Ibrox, so let's see if it works and we can get some goals.
Moore picks himself on the left, and, having watched ASO, Antman and Gassama all struggle on the right, I would play Tavernier there. He can get wide and get crosses in, and he also attacks the box and the back post when the ball is on the left. He is far more of an attacking threat than any of the three.
10 Mar 2026 12:57:45
In what world does Tav start before Sterling. ?
I would wrap the 4-4-2 (4-2-2-2) or whatever, and go with a fluid 4-2-1-3.
All fit and available, I would go:-
Butland
Sterling Djiga Fernandez Rommens
Raskin Chukwuani
Moore
Curtis Naderi Antman.

Sterling starts over Tav whenever fit. Only reason for Tav now would be delivery and set pieces, but it's not American football where u can bring someone on for that. And, happy with Chucky in the middle over Dio.
10 Mar 2026 13:03:44
Tav will win u a game Sterling won't.
10 Mar 2026 13:45:15
Like the look of that Mph and the 4-2-1-3. Nice strong defence is a gd base to build from. ??
10 Mar 2026 14:21:37
Stevie, he costs us games now, I honestly think an impact sub, maybe on the right side, is when we should be using him.
More important to not concede, and we generally do when he plays. He's also lost a yard or two of pace, and does not contribute to the team the way he used to.
I'm sure a right back will come in next season, as Sterling can't play a run of games.
The fact also that Rohl's best 11, when everyone is fit, does not include Tav tells you how he looks at it as well.
Thank you, James, for your goals tally over the years and for being loyal, but it's time to move on.
10 Mar 2026 14:26:58
Rosevale, I wouldn't lie and just defend him against your points, regardless, as what u say is correct.
But we lose an edge without him.
We need to find a way to get both of them in the team until the summer, when we can replace Tav.
10 Mar 2026 14:58:34
Stevie, I agree we lose an edge without Tavernier. We were far more effective when he came on Sunday and looked more dangerous.
We can't be dropping Sterling for him, though.
Which then poses the question: how do we get him in the team?
There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that he would give us a lot more than Skov Olsen currently does.
I get that a lot of supporters are done with Tavernier, but he's more of a threat than most, and whilst we can often struggle to create, he can produce 2 or 3 opportunities within a match.
That being said, there must be a reason that no manager has ever thought to play him there, other than the odd 30 mins here or there when a game is already in the bag.
10 Mar 2026 15:02:59
None think we need 2 number 6s. We need to sacrifice one of those to get a bit more creativity into the side.
10 Mar 2026 15:11:38
He didn't win us the game on Sunday, Stevie. His poor penalty cost us. He hasn't been the player you spoke of for a while now.
10 Mar 2026 15:25:05
That's a fair comment, Storm. He did miss the pen, and that's not good enough.
Under those circumstances, though, someone has to miss eventually, and it's not right to blame them.
The game should've been won in the 90 mins, and that's down to the players and manager, not Tav.
10 Mar 2026 16:46:46
Fair enough, Stevie, but for me he is a sub at best now.
10 Mar 2026 19:03:01
He shouldn't even still be here, never mind starting.
