Rohl poll

Voted to keep him on, though he has yet to really convince me that he's the man for the job.

I am quite happy with Danny Rohl at the moment. I like the 442 he has been using recently, and despite results being poor, I think we have been playing Ok. I think we are nowhere near the finished article, but you can see what he is trying to do with physical, high intensity players.

I think his team selection, on the whole, has been good. His substitutions have been poor, but in his defense, the only substitute that was an improvement yesterday was Chucky. Every other substitute dropped the quality of the team, which was not brimming with quality in the match.

I feel we need to let a manager work through a squad of players.

By the time a manager finds out who can be good and who won't cut it in our squad, we sack him. Then, we start back at the beginning with a new manager learning the squad again. It's been a terribly unsuccessful approach, and I don't really understand fans wanting that again.

The last time we allowed a manager to do that was the last time we won the league. That was not a coincidence, in my opinion.

He will definitely get to start next season, imo, because there has been progress since he started, and I don't think the new owners will be as reactionary as the previous board.

09 Mar 2026 19:46:52
How many more managers are we going to hound out because things don't go our way? This is mental. He has done very well; he has brought in 4 players of his own. 2 seem very good, 2, the jury is out. He needs time, simple as that.

09 Mar 2026 19:54:18
He needs to stay, but needs to hit the ground running. I think he is the right appointment for the long-term. Personally, I'm struggling with the concept of us not challenging for the league over a period of time while he learns. I guess there's a strong argument that we're not challenging over the recent seasons, regardless.

09 Mar 2026 19:57:59
I am kind of in 2 minds. I think we need a very experienced manager if we want to win things, but on the other hand I see what Danny Rohl is trying to do, and his style and potential.

He's gotten the best out of Djiga and even Barron. Chermiti too. He's a good manager, but is he a winner?

I voted yes, but it's a shaky one for now.

09 Mar 2026 20:12:07
I spoke to the owner. He says Rohl will see out his contract.

09 Mar 2026 20:19:02
John, if he goes through a bad run of results that'll change. Btw, I voted keep him, but results matter.

09 Mar 2026 20:32:08
I totally agree, John. Danny Rohl will see out his 2 and a half year contract and quite possibly more. ???

09 Mar 2026 20:35:10
John, that is my understanding also from people I trust.

09 Mar 2026 20:47:42
I voted to keep him.

John, he can say that to you, but if results don't improve, then he won't see out his contract. Results driven business.

I have said I don't see him being the manager by the end of next season. That's just what I see happening; whether it's right or wrong is a different discussion.

Ows 100% correct.

09 Mar 2026 21:20:42
Yeah, I voted to keep him, but come on, guys. With our budget and spending power, we should be winning things and really challenging them for the league every year. Should we be beating the likes of Hearts, Hibs and Motherwell? Of course we should, with the right manager, so it's up to Danny Rohl now, no one else.

09 Mar 2026 21:27:41
My desire for every season is always the league. However, since the vegan screwup left us in a mess, Danny Rohl has done very well with what he's got at his disposal, and we're back in the title race for the moment, which was unthinkable back in October.

He needs a full summer window and preseason at the bare minimum.

Fanbase needs its big-boy pants on and to dig in for the long haul, because only patience and time will fix up last summer's screwups.

09 Mar 2026 22:08:27
Fans wanting Rohl sacked after 4/5 months after him turning us around from bottom six to challenging for the league are bonkers, imho. The man needs a preseason and more windows.
How he gets blamed for yesterday beats me as well. That game gets won 99 out of 100. He totally outplayed a team that never even had one chance.

09 Mar 2026 22:12:43
Absolute madness that we are having the poll in the first place.

For people who can't see that the difference between RM and DR is night and day, I don't know what they are watching.

We want success, but we need to be patient to some degree. The guy is doing his best, and he's getting a lot right. He can't get a shirt on and score the goals himself.

09 Mar 2026 22:28:18
He will get a pre season and probably a full season, but any coach is a bad run away from getting his jotters. He's a nice guy and likeable, but is that ever the type required in that job?

09 Mar 2026 22:47:01
I voted to keep him, of course. But he is giving me wee hints of things I saw in previous incumbents that became their undoing.

1. Most fans have been calling for Djiga over Souttar for a while.
2. Most of us have been concerned about Aso's lack of work rate.
3. Raskin is becoming undroppable, and I can't see why that is.

09 Mar 2026 23:19:02
He needs the entirety of next season. No way we can contemplate binning him before that.

10 Mar 2026 04:52:55
I'm continually being told by a fellow Rangers season ticket holder who I sit near at Ibrox that if Danny Rohl doesn't make the grade as Rangers manager/head coach, then it will be current Hearts manager Derek McInnes who'll be the next Rangers manager/head coach.

He tells a good few of us that this info is from someone he's friendly with from Paisley who's close pals with Derek McInnes's brother. ? Only sharing this with you all. I personally can't see it myself. ?

10 Mar 2026 07:07:06
Rohl's been working wonders with the rubbish show he inherited. To have gotten us into the conversation as title contenders is miraculous.
He's only had one transfer window, and the squad is carrying a lot of dead weight.
He deserves to build his own squad, then be judged on how things go after that.
