A few weeks back we were all raving about our set piece coach - Scott Fry.
Has anyone else thought that recently, we have been back to lumping more aimless balls into the box just because we have a 6ft 4ins player and a bit of extra height elsewhere in the team?
Or the quality of balls from set pieces ( evident on more than one occasion yesterday ) have been rank rotten?

I was thinking the same yesterday, MPH.

Yeah, the quality of balls in has been poor recently, mate. A lot of short corners yesterday, to change angle, didn't work.
Either too high, or didn't beat the 1st man.

Having a set piece coach is great, but only when you have players who can cross a ball with precision. Our crossing has been poor in recent matches.

Our crossing has been very good for a few weeks.
Not to mention, there is not much variation.

We have missed Tav in those last 2 old forms.

We missed his deliveries. Stevie Sterling played well in both games.

Both Raskin and Fernandez had chances at corners yesterday.

Would we be top of the league if Dessers was still here?

Whatsmy, he'd probably be on about 18 goals at this point of the season.

Sterling played great as he always does. Still,
Missed Tav, though.

If you listen to the players talking about the set piece coach, it's all about getting decent balls into the box, and having movement and players attacking areas. Everyone blamed Tav in the past, but I've always said you need players attacking the ball as well. The quality of delivery yesterday by Skov Olsen and Moore, in particular, was woeful, and, apart from Fernandez and Raskin, we have no targets.
Djiga and Souttar are no threat, whichever one plays, and even our two 6-foot-plus strikers never get on the end of anything. Last week, in the 2-2 draw, Fernandez should have put us 3-0 up at one point. Stop blaming coaches and look at the guys on the pitch who are not doing what they are paid for.

Missed Tav's deliveries.

We did miss Tav's delivery, but we don't miss his defensive capabilities.
