Today's game was like watching 2 aging punch drunk boxers slugging it out trying to recapture form of the past.
A game devoid of quality.
Which was ultimately settled by the team who was more proficient from 12 yards.
With a lot riding on the fixture, I'm not sure either Rohl or the players got anything wrong.
But the opposite was also true. They never got much right either.
The game will be remembered for everything that is now wrong with the Old Firm fixture.
From Celtic fans without tickets forcing their way in. And the obligatory mocking of the 66 souls who lost their lives in the Ibrox disaster.
The bigoted and sectarian singing from both sets of fans.
Point scoring about CSA scandal.
To the pitch invasion at the end.
There is a vileness and hatred from both sets of fans that has crept into this fixture since 2012.
Which will now put paid to any full allocation at either ground in the foreseeable future.
A fixture that used to be one of the Crown Jewels in European football has been reduced to a knockoff version of a fake Rolex you can buy on a Spanish beach.
We now have to dust ourselves down and put in a monumental effort in the remaining 9 league games.
Onwards and upwards?⚪️?.

Why were the away crowds restricted again?
Our lot were bad enough, but it takes 2.
& Both were culpable.

They campaigned and cried about the lack of atmosphere, welcome back, and that's what u get. Lock them out again. And that goes for ours at theirs. Can't be trusted. Morons.

Well said, MPH.

Bar, have you seen the damage Celtic have caused today. It will go back to 800, I feel.
08 Mar 2026 19:13:08
Totally agree, MPH.
Sad thing is, with more balanced numbers in the crowd, it was totally predictable.
Really, don't get the clamour to move to old allocations. All you end up with is more bile and hatred.

I wouldn't allow them back into the stadium after today. Would rather have 7500 passionate Rangers fans in those seats than those animals.
08 Mar 2026 19:33:08
Reportedly, more of them pushed their way into the game. Also, they were the first to run onto the pitch. Not condoning what our supporters did, but let's get all the facts out.

I would limit Celtic to 800 seats forever. I don't want them in our stadium, running onto the pitch, putting scarves on goalposts, wiping snot on corner flags, grabbing police hats, jumping over advertising boards, etc. They cannot behave. It's why their allocation was cut to begin with. Ibrox is for Rangers fans.

Well said Mph, no place for the balaclava boys running riot at the end.

Union bears should all be banned for life

MPH I think that is a great post which sums up what is wrong with both teams football and supporter wise. Most fans are great and go to offer great support but is seems the "minority" of troublesome fans are growing.
On a football front Celtic are brutal and had half a team missing offered nothing middle to front. Rangers had most of the ball but Celtic keeper only had 2 saves to make. It is a sad indictment of both clubs that the football they are playing is dire.
No wonder Hearts are ahead in the league they are not great but have been consistent.
Both Celtic and Rangers have a lot of improvement needed and new players bought!

So why highlight Rangers fans running up the pitch on your own site, and say nothing of the despicable behaviour of your own fans graffiti of 66 people who lost their lives on your site?
There are no place for either of these types if idiots in either fanbase.
