We've fluffed our lines every time we get a chance. It's embarrassing that we have collapsed in the last few games. Can't see many twists and turns, unfortunately.

Celtic's next four fixtures in the league are against teams they have lost to this season. Let's get 12 points and hope we're closer to the top before the split.

Jasp, that is the case, but it would also mean that Motherwell have beaten or drawn against Celtic, so that would, as you say, allow us to go second if we beat St Mirren on the Sunday.
We would only be 3 points behind Hearts, though, if they lose both their games.
We would also have a game in hand by then. They could equally be 9 ahead, with us having a game in hand, so theoretically the same 6 points as now.

Seems to be a lot of people expecting Motherwell to do us a turn and take points from Hearts and Celtic. I see Hearts going into the split with a min 4-point lead, and think that would be enough to get them over the line.
We've fluffed our lines by failing to beat Hibs, Motherwell or Livie, and genuinely hope we target experienced guys over the summer to help deal with the pressure we tend to bow to at this time of year.

I really don't get where that confidence comes from, sorry, but two Old Firm games at Ibrox and both draws. Also beaten in the cup vs them; the only win was when Nancy was in charge and everyone was beating them at that point.
Since the start of February, after the window, points dropped.
Rangers 8 points
Celtic 4 points
Hearts 6 points.

Yes Ows, Hearts haven't beaten Motherwell in two games, two still to play, same as Celtic lost and won in two games.

I still believe if we finish above our Old Firm rivals, we win the league. I watched them labour to victory over a weak Aberdeen team with a tight, close to offside goal. However, what they do is run and run and run. Speculative shots, crosses across the 6 yard box, and chasing lost causes.
And their manager, as we have seen, seems to carry a lot of luck. 10 points before the split and 11 points after - with 2 draws v top 2 - will do it. Apart from those two games that should take care of themselves, I believe we have the easiest run in. But we must play for 90 plus minutes.

Where is anyone showing confidence? OP was discussing what could happen if results worked out over a 2 week period.
And why would people not expect Motherwell to take points from Celtic and Hearts - they have already done it by beating Celtic once and drawing with Hearts twice. Unfortunately, they have also drawn with us. ?

We will need to win all our games, and for the life of me I can't see that happening. Everyone will drop points, and I keep seeing Rangers fans saying the other three will, and we will too. That's why I don't believe we will win it. I won't give up, but we won't win it.

Difference being, Mph, Motherwell have two games against both of them. Hearts have never beaten them, so it's only natural to think Motherwell will take points off them. Hopefully three points before the split.

Star, we've beaten Hearts once, lost twice.
Celtic, we've won 1, drawn 1.
Motherwell, 1 win and 1 defeat. I don't see anything in our form to suggest we will beat all 3 named, as we may need to in order to win the league. I hope you're right, but I've little confidence in our squad.

Ows, I'm not saying I'll be right. I'm not even thinking like that. We can only hope we win those games. It'll be a tough ask to win the league. It was more the point of Motherwell taking points from Hearts and Celtic.

Ows. I think you have just proved how all teams are going to take points from the other.
So, let's all calm down just a bit and give the team at least some chance to win this. Panicking every game isn't really doing that. Every draw is a disaster and every loss is a catastrophe. We have done well to get here.
Let's just have a bit of patience and see whether we can get it over the line. If not, we are stronger for next season, imo, because of it.
Alternatively, let's rip it all up and start again. Be here this time next season to have the same chat with a new manager and players in place.

I don't think anyone doubts what you're saying, that Motherwell can take points off us too, MPH, but we've got one game against them at Ibrox. Say we win that, it's not beyond the realms of possibility, is it? We've beaten them already at Ibrox.
That leaves 4 games for Motherwell against Hearts and Celtic, and, going by this season's results, they could do well against both. I don't think it's a stretch to be honest. I respect that you're not convinced, and understand why, but I'm going to keep the faith.

Lots of ifs, buts and maybes. The reality is that since the January window closed, we have not maintained the performance levels we saw in October-January. We're not playing like a team that looks like it wants the league title, and I'd go as far as to say our current form guide is that of the 4th team in Scottish football.
Let's hope we can find a way to get back to winning as of now!
