With us now 3rd in the league 12 points heading into the split has to be the minimum we get otherwise we maybe fending off Motherwell for 4th.
04 Mar 2026 22:59:59
69 points before the split. We're still very much in it. Hopefully we get 12 points from the games before the split.
05 Mar 2026 01:07:07
Agreed, we need maximum points now. I'd argue that we need max points after the split too.
05 Mar 2026 01:54:27
We won't.
I think we will struggle in a few games. Hopefully we are brave and play attacking.
05 Mar 2026 02:47:13
It's pretty simple: to win the league, we can't drop any more points, and I can't see us being able to win every game. Our form is horrendous.
05 Mar 2026 06:01:50
We're not finishing higher than third, and I believe we're going to have a mare after the split. I'm struggling to believe we'll finish 4th.
Hopefully a few lessons learnt this season, and let's see what next season brings. The improvement from Rohl has helped get us to third; under Martin, we'd just have made top six.

Form is definitely patchy, Storm, but my main issue, and it has been to the forefront for years, is that we have no captain/leader on the park who can make dynamic changes and input to games. A Gough or Ferguson would have been roaring at midfield after 5mins of the second half, explaining that no-one was near Hatate and to get someone on him asap. Tavs, Soapy, or Raskin are not those guys. Ok, many say lead by example, that's fair, but another side of captaincy is getting stuck into those not doing their job, or not picking up on glaring errors or mismatches on the park dynamically.
Until we put an angry organiser who reads the game for 90 mins as our leader on the park and who hates losing, expect more of the same for next season, IMHO. Someone with true leadership qualities is a must in the summer transfer window. ?

Draws to Livi and 10 man Motherwell have cost us massively. Could be 4th by time we play our next game.
05 Mar 2026 07:42:52
Blue Floyd, I have said exactly the same thing. The manager sends them out to play, and the other team gains a foothold, and we struggle to regain it. Only so much any manager can do once they cross the line, and other managers have had the same issue.
Not only shout and organise, but stop us from settling for leads we build up. That might stop the draws as well.
05 Mar 2026 07:56:55
Agreed, Angus, 100% - we either are sloppy 1st half, get a kick up jacksie at HT, and come out firing in the second, or it's a role reversal. We look like world champs first half v Celtic, then have a major character transplant at HT and come out as if we have the game in the bag.
That sums up Gers all season. ? A player attitude failing, which oozes through our team.
05 Mar 2026 08:06:56
Win the four games before the split, win four out of five after the split, and beat both Hearts and Celtic. A draw in the other game, and we'd win the league with 82 points.
05 Mar 2026 08:35:14
Come on, guys. We're still in this, admittedly hanging on a bit at the moment, but it's so topsy-turvy this season that more upsets will occur (for all teams).
I certainly hope the players have more belief/confidence than most of our fans.
My star - I'm totally with you in terms of potential outcomes.
05 Mar 2026 08:45:03
I don't even think Gough, Brown or Ferguson could put a rocket up Skov Olsen's arse? He's that laid back, it wouldn't bother him. ??
05 Mar 2026 09:11:51
Calside, you hope that players have the belief, and so do all the fans, I'm sure. ? But we must see that belief lasting for the full 90 mins in each game and not come in sporadic halves, where we end up playing like Jekyll then Hyde. ?
05 Mar 2026 10:11:53
Lately there is a difference though between laid back and lazy. The same criticism was made of Bajrami and people now think he can be the solution. Aso rarely loses possession, has good passing stats, short and long, and provides more chances than anyone in the league. He can look as lackadaisical as he wants if he keeps providing those stats imo.
05 Mar 2026 11:20:46
Angus, I respect your opinion, mate, but contrary to other people's opinions, Skov Olsen was brought in to win the title. He has the pedigree, there is no doubt, but Wolfsburg want rid!! Let's hope his form returns, mate. ✌️✌️
05 Mar 2026 11:39:40
Only so much a manager can do? Come on, he brought in 2 subs. 1 to begin with, and took away from having 2 strikers. Last week was on the manager. Stop trying to make excuses for him. He is allowed to get criticised.
05 Mar 2026 12:36:13
If Motherwell collect enough points to catch us for Third, it will probably mean they have taken points off Celtic and Hearts before the split, which will give us a chance to look upwards at First and Second, not just worry about Third. That's what those 12 points can mean to us.
05 Mar 2026 12:40:26
Fair point, BlueFloyd. It will take everything the players have in them to get the results we need.
It's all to play for!
05 Mar 2026 12:44:49
Don't see how you can say we won't finish higher than 3rd. We are 1 point behind Celtic and it's not like they have been smashing past teams.
05 Mar 2026 14:14:21
4 draws in the last 6 league games is form that will see it become mathematically impossible to catch Hearts very soon.
Star said it - need 4 wins on the spin now.
05 Mar 2026 16:52:41
We take 12 points before the split. I think we'd be ahead of Celtic. In Celtic's next four league games before the split, they've lost to each of them this season.
