Lads and lassies - Another sloppy goal to lose from a cross ball - Fernandez and Raskin both sleeping and ball watching and Tierney had easiest header he will ever get in a box - very poor. IMO Butland sees everything in front of him and should be roaring at both players to pick up the man and not the space- seems simple or am I too critical?

Another beef how can Maeda be closer to Hatate in follow up at penalty and no Gers player near - no real desire or anticipation on our part after Butland did his best (its basics again) - we should be breaking a neck to get in before any opposition player for rebound - FGS.

My gut feeling is if Celtic had been up 2-0 they would have gone for jugular - oh no not us, let's sit back - the one thing we all said prior to match was intensity - yes 100% first half - second half it felt we assumed job was done - also it was plainly obvious Hatate was running mid after 5mins - poor that we didn't actually try to nullify him and see the game out - sometimes stopping someone doing their job is just as important as creativity ( error on Rohl's part).

Have I expected too much from Olsen? - he seems happier to turn back to look for pass rather than take a man on - good pass for goal but very few periods of true creativity- Tounetki always wanted to take our players on and was direct and am sure Olsen seems scared of outcome or is he just not match fit - I wonder ?.

I said the exact same thing regarding Olsen. Now I have seen this lad play, and when he is bang on it he is class. However, after I saw that interview about how he has fallen out of love with the game, and football just being his job (add on top of that a failed move to Germany), I feel he just doesn't have the desire we need in a player. Even though he isn't 100% match fit, I have my doubts that this lad is what we require.

He was against glass-ankled Tierney yesterday, who we all know can't handle a full match and isn't the player he used to be, but Olsen only once tried to take them on and it resulted in a great goal. After that, he was literally just playing it safe and passing backwards or sidewards. I'd send him back at the end of the season, and be scouting our next replacement and working on that deal pronto.

Blue Floyd, I think they used to call it schoolboy stuff! Oh, as for Olsen, I think I'd beat him in a race! Send it back, please.

Totally agree, Blue Floyd.

Perhaps we need to have more home-grown players with a bit of passion, e.g. Barry Ferguson, Stuart McCall, John Greig, et al. Still, we have only lost 2 league games this season so far. It's the stupid draws that have cost us. Hope all my fellow Bears are well.

02 Mar 2026 14:20:49
I agree, Floyd. I couldn't believe it. Third attempt to score, and not a Rangers player in sight. That was sickening, and they had no fight to get even remotely close to the two Celtic players for the goals.

Could Butland have come for the KT goal and for the cross that led to the pen?

02 Mar 2026 14:38:23
Butland must come for everything in the six-yard box. To be fair, on the second goal, Teirney being allowed that header from a dinked ball is a big no-no as well.

Agree, Bbj - at the moment, I wouldn't be paying £7M or offering a bumper contract to Olsen. I understand he's still getting up to speed, but I've always thought he doesn't look like he's enjoying it (unlike Moore, who loves it).

I didn't know he said that in an interview, but that tracks with my own view on him so far. If that's the case, he would be a definite no for me.

02 Mar 2026 14:54:38
Bigbluejim, sure Aphelion said that was something about his situation, I think it was when he was in Italy. In games for Rangers, I wouldn't be signing him, but he gets more time.

02 Mar 2026 15:18:13
I'd give him another month, tops, Star, but he really needs to show me that hunger if we are to spend a decent wad of cash on him.

02 Mar 2026 15:37:28
He doesn't step up dramatically. I wouldn't be signing him either, Bigbluejim.

02 Mar 2026 15:45:30
If Souttar and Dio don't step up dramatically, would you sell them?

02 Mar 2026 16:28:28
Diomande will be sold for easily more than the fee paid.

02 Mar 2026 16:32:41
That's not what I asked you.

02 Mar 2026 17:08:38
Same Q's same retorts, sad and disconcerting imo, u really need to seek help, its on here if u want it.

02 Mar 2026 17:42:28
Can't imagine anyone being interested in Souttar. The guy is becoming more of a liability season by season and will continue to be caught out of position. He's also as slow as a supertanker. Diomande will go for a few million but will not command a big fee.

02 Mar 2026 19:13:03
Fork, it's getting a bit sad now.

02 Mar 2026 21:13:29
Agreed, bud. ?
