My point on the SPFL page is this:

JFM, I'm assuming you missed the game against Livingston. Celtic will be a much stronger opposition, so my point is I'd rather take a point than lose the match. Three points would be a tremendous result, but we can't confidently say which version of our team will show up the one that convincingly beat Hearts, or the one that draws against Motherwell and Livi?

Also, JFM, I keep noticing you have a sly dig at my posts, mate. If you don't like them, just scroll past. Even better, use the ignore option and you won't see them ??

I get what you are saying, Stig, but any self-respecting grown-up who uses an ignore button on a faceless forum is a joke. Only way that should happen is if someone is getting over-the-top abuse, which wouldn't happen as the Eds would stop it.

Sorry, but where is this 'ignore' button?

Plenty have accepted dropped points at Hibs, Motherwell and Livi, Stig.
So, I'm not sure why some are r annoyed at you thinking the least you would accept is a draw at one of our title rivals.
Personally, I think we win. And we need to win.

24 Feb 2026 18:11:42
We need to win on Sunday, no doubt about it. That's just my opinion, mate. If we draw, Hearts win. The fat lady is warming up her voice, unless they have a monumental meltdown.

Go into your own profile. It's in there, Bar.

Terrible comment about Angus n he can't even sing. ? ? ?

24 Feb 2026 18:33:23
Stig, no, I did not miss the Livingstone game. Paranoid or what, Stig. I did not have a dig at this post or any other of your posts. I commented about the mentality of our players, not the opinion of a poster on what he finds acceptable.

Personally, I will never go into a game thinking a point is acceptable, especially a home game.
Get over yourself.

24 Feb 2026 18:49:34
Cheers, Fork. I think the thread just proves how easy it is to take another's posts the wrong way when the person is just making a point (my winning comment aside ?).
Re the OP, no or few fans go into a match wanting a draw, but depending on how the match goes, sometimes that draw is better than the alternative, say, when Motherwell play us off the park and we have to come from 2 goals down.

Not acceptable, but better than the alternative of a defeat.

Had to have a wee stir, can't have u 2 agreeing too much. ??

24 Feb 2026 19:24:40
Mph, as I haven't gone back and re-read the posts, I'm not sure who is annoyed at Stig thinking a point would be acceptable. He is entitled to that opinion.
I will not ever go into a game thinking a point will be acceptable. Coming back from two down and getting a point is better than losing, but that is different from thinking a point is okay before the game kicks off.
I commented on the players' mentality going into a game.

That is totally different from supporters' opinions on it, whether that is Stig thinking it's acceptable or mine, which is that it is not. We are all allowed different views, but if people are going to post on an open forum, they shouldn't expect everyone to agree with them. Stig, I'll throw it right back at you. Please just use the ignore function, and you won't see my posts. It means nothing to me either way.

24 Feb 2026 19:52:07
At no point did I say anyone shouldn't disagree with my opinion.
?

You're very argumentative.

I never see any evidence of you just having a decent debate.

So I will ignore. ?

24 Feb 2026 20:04:26
Not that you'll see it if you have used the ignore button, but I'm entitled to reply. You call me argumentative after accusing me of having a dig at a lot of your posts. Irony or what.
I have had many decent conversations and debates with posters.

I very seldom read your posts, never mind have a dig at them.
I didn't even disagree with your opinion, which you are entitled to. I spoke about the mentality of our players.
Sorry if you can't recognise the difference.

24 Feb 2026 22:11:51
Angus, Motherwell played us off the park. We were one up, and them down to 10 men. That was 2 points dropped, not a good point.

24 Feb 2026 22:50:31
I agree with Storm, anything other than a win, and I think it's not going to be our year.

For me, it would be the lift it would give Hearts or Celtic that would kill us, and, let's face it, every other team out there will be more desperate to stop both Rangers and Celtic and would love to see Hearts win.

Just like most of us probably enjoyed seeing Leicester win.
