Maybe a bit early but do we think gers will make the Skov Olsen deal permanent? . haven't seen much from him in the games he has played to sugest worth the €9 million to keep him.
I know hasn't played much in past 3/4 months so might take him few more weeks to get up to speed but you look at Rommens on the other hand not 100% and looks the part.
Obviously hope he does come good and we do sign him but the original buzz from him signing is getting less and less each time watch him play.

He set up Chermiti for the 3rd goal with a beauty of a cross. He has also scored for Rangers vs Dundee, and I feel he is getting better each game. If this is what he can do with little match sharpness and fitness (scoring and assisting), then what can he actually do with a full pre-season? No brainer for me, sign him up.
Tuur Rommens was playing regular football with Westerlo. He also oozes quality; that's why he fits straight in.

Far too early to tell. On current form, no. I would be trying to negotiate the price down; however, I'm fairly certain by the end of the season we will all love him, and if we do win anything, he will have a big part to play in it.
The ability is clear to see in flashes; he just needs to start doing it more, and we need to find him in and around the box more.

As it stands, no, he needs to up his game soon to be worth spending that sort of money on him. Regardless of whether we make him permanent or not, though, I would maintain that it was worth the gamble to get him in on this expensive loan with option to buy.

Too early to consider, imo. He will need his full term with us to assess, as he's not played much.

Olsen will get better by the game. I got a feeling he's going to click into top form when it matters. As for Rommens, I loved him from his first pass and run. He's got class written all over him.

It was Kilmarnock he scored against, and it was a good finish, yeah.
He picked out Chermiti well, but given the time and space he had, you would expect that of any player with any sort of ability.
Not trying to be negative, maybe I am just expecting too much too soon. Hopefully he just needs minutes to get up to speed and starts producing the goods.

We are all aware that we had hoped for a bit more from him in the way of swagger and style. Some say he looks frightened. However, when Cerny arrived, many were offering to drive him away. Most of us wanted to keep him and would rather have paid to do so than lose him and get Chermiti.
Things may well change as he settles in and gets more game time under his belt. But, despite that, his numbers are pretty good, and his final ball is excellent. Give it time, I think he is likely to be worth every penny.

Yes, I 100% believe Rangers will make the deal permanent, as a contract is already agreed in principle.

He's only been involved in a few games, maybe a bit of patience is required.
16 Feb 2026 17:57:47
Agree, he hasn't shown much yet, but I get the feeling it is coming. He has a World Cup, potentially, to play himself into as well, so he will be chomping at the bit to hit form and get his confidence up. Another 5 or 6 games, and hopefully he'll be unstoppable.

You can see the quality in flashes, I think he'll come good, especially now the games come once per week for a while.
16 Feb 2026 18:31:39
Tbh, he's not shown he's worth 9m, so let's wait and see.
16 Feb 2026 18:40:14
Fgs, he's just in the f****** door.
16 Feb 2026 18:43:50
He's only played 233 minutes in the league and has a goal and an assist already. ?
16 Feb 2026 19:15:22
I agree, Coully. There have been a few moments in each match he has played where he has shown real quality. He will get numbers and will also improve the numbers of the players around him.
If we can get him permanently, it's a no-brainer for me.

He didn't have a great game yesterday, but it was a great cross for Chermiti's header, and he also started the move for Chermiti's first goal. I don't think he's the type to run riot on the ball or score lots of goals, but he will quietly affect games and create chances, which is something we need.
