Just on the Chermiti stuff. I spent some time chatting to Thelwell and Stewart very early in the season at a fund raiser event, and they were utterly CONVINCED he would be a £40m player. They believed strongly that he had the attributes for that.
Now I don't believe for a minute that he is, I would take the money back we spent on him. However, it does look like other clubs believe there's a top player in there.

Over the last 40- 50 year I have followed Rangers I have looked at loads of players and questioned why we bought them, they are no good etc. The amount of times I have been wrong is a lot. I think Chermiti is another.
There are signs of progression and he is young. He has the potential to go on to be a good player. A great player time will tell.
I think Danny Rohl is the type of manager to bring the best out of him.

Chermiti has improved his overall play since Rohl came in.
But strikers are judged on goals and I don't see a 20-30 goal a season striker in Chermiti.

We sold Dessers who had 29 goals scored in 24/25 season for 4 million. Chermiti has 4 in 25/26 and 0 goals between 23-25, but some believe him to be a prize asset. Two of our defenders have more goals. If, and I mean it's click bait, but we have rejected a 13 million bid, we are foolish. A striker who holds up play and doesn't score is useless. Why do peope moan about Miovski? He has more than youseff.
Danilo has more also. Aasgaard has more. A striker who doesn't score needs sold. Why are people wanting maswanhise? Ehhh, because he scores. Why are we looking at a German boy, ehhh, because he scores. Why keep youseff? He doesn't score. We could buy braga and maswanhise for a combined 13 million. Maybe they will score 29 between them this season. Same as Dessers did alone.

Or judge on what they to for the team, Chermiti presence up top was missing against Dundee, lad has plenty of ability, but some see nothing.

Dessers scored more goals but he doesn't offer what Chermiti does, if only we could shift Miovski and Danilo and get Dessers back. Having a Chermiti type striker and a Dessers striker to rotate would be ideal.

If I was a director looking to show that my club aren't for selling cheap anymore, this is exactly the kind of story that I would come up with.
I always take stories about interest from Turkish clubs with a big pinch of salt, especially this one.

there are an awful lot of strikers out there who never get near 20 goals per season. it is also possible to win leageus without one. just checked and since 2012 Celtic have won the league 6 times when they didn't have this 20 goal per season striker; 6 times with that 20 goal striker.
so surely the teamwining with the striker playign a big part in style of play is the main thing. yes goals would be nice.
one last thing with Chermiti althoguh as a team we have 7 goals less this seson to last we have the same points at this juncture. so it isn't really harming us.

People that know about football and potential can see Chermiti will be superb. Avoiding injury this boy will be a real asset. We will not lose money on this young man.

Whineonthewine well said although apparently we know nothing for wanting a striker who scores goals, his presence was so missed against Dundee that we equalled our highest league victory of the season.

Don't know credentials they've got but in end got bums rush. I do believe being Rangers, and expectations of immediate impact led to fans on Chermiti back, branding failure etc. Well after bedding in, seeing him, I think he's absolute class. And with ball at feet, I expect things happen. As visibility/media frenzy on player continues. If right club bids, I could easily see 40M worth or more.

Whine. Have You forgot that Chermiti is only half way through the season and could still go onto bang in plenty of goals. It's early days for the boy. Of he couldn't hold the ball up or bring others into play and offered zero then you would have a fair point.
Think some more patience is needed here. I fully believe in his abilities and am certain we will make a hefty profit on this guy.

I agree his presence was missed against Dundee because he is the out ball in Rohls system but just because Danilo and Miovski don't give us that it doesn't mean that we can't buy someone who can. We could bring in a striker who has the ability to hold the ball up AND score goals especially if we had £13 million to spend.

Mystar I believe our all time top scorer who doesn't really rate him will know more about strikers than me, you or any scout, and as storm said he was at Everton for plenty of time why was there no rush to sign him then? couldve had him for 8 million at that time, must be all that hold up play that's attracting everyone's attention now- i hope I'm wrong and he fires 10 -12 goals in between now and may but i'd put a lot of money on that not happening, if you think his general effort and hold up play will win us this league I'm afraid you're dreaming.
