I see some people believe that we should keep Chermiti. Well I believe he should be gone. Tav, Miovski, Gassama, Aasgaard, Danilo and Fernandez have all scored more goals than 10 million pounds youseff chermissy. Two defenders have more goals than our star striker. There are around 15 players in Scotland who have more goals than him.
If some believe that he will produce 20 goals, they are deluded. Dessers, igamane and cerny all had more goals than him in less games. He needs to be moved on. Ross macausland in Greece is on the same number of goals.

Whine nobodies saying he'll bring score 20 goals, but he will have a big part in producing 20 goals, we missed his presence on the park yesterday, its fine you see nothing in him, very sure our manager does though, if he was already a natural goalscorer now he certainly wouldn't be playing for Rangers, but so many positives in his game.
26 Jan 2026 10:59:11
What would you take for him?
I am one of the guys who thinks he will come good. His play of the ball is good. His link play is getting better and better.
The price tag is not his fault.
Just throw away 10 mill.
Miovski has been terrible. 3 goals were against Annan. Saying that I don't think we play to his style of football or more so he does not fit into ours.
It's a team game. The other players there also supposed to score goals. That's great.
I don't think he needs to move on, I do think we nee.

Before you say anything about part text fork and also not proof reading?. The chipolata fingers are still in play, hit the wrong button ?? but to follow on from the text I never finished. I think Chermiti needs a foil to play nearer and just off him. To see the best of him.
26 Jan 2026 11:05:35
Hes not a natural goal scoring 9, that much is apparent but absolutely echo what Star is saying here. He's miles better than Miovski and the drop off between the two is so stark. He links play well, moves well and free's up space for others. I dare say his finishing will improve and we'll find him being a player that we can sell for a huge sum.
Wouldn't be getting rid of him any time soon.
26 Jan 2026 11:13:22
Yes he has a lot of attributes that help us but definitely needs tk add more goals to his game or it will cost us one day.
26 Jan 2026 11:16:54
Chermiti has only played 8 and a half games worth of minutes in the league. He's got 4 goals and 2 assists in that time.
I'm not saying he's perfect, his price is irrelevant at this point he's our player now and imo out of him, Miovski and Danilo he is the best we have at the moment. Out of all the players you mention above, for goal contributions, Chermiti has the best ration - a g/an every 130 minutes.
I'm not sure about European games, cup games etc, that's solely for league matches.
26 Jan 2026 11:28:13
Would I ever Pieter???.
26 Jan 2026 11:33:34
I think the best is yet to come from Chermiti.
26 Jan 2026 11:34:11
He is improving and he is better than Miovski but none of them are remotely as good as Dessers and he was hunted out of Ibrox.
26 Jan 2026 11:35:10
Just get tiring the chat on Chermiti, gets very boring, them that see nothing in him that's fair enough, boring hearing it daily though, all I see is a young talented footballer will many positives in his game.
26 Jan 2026 11:46:35
You make good points bud, backed with facts but i personally think he's only been match fit for the last month, he's looked a lot fitter and sharper to me, and 2 OF goals will do his confidence a world of good.
Its set up for him to kick on with the team performing better and a few new signings in the door. I don't blame you for feeling the way you do, but possibly slightly hasty.
26 Jan 2026 11:50:09
You may see positives, MyStar.
But one thing you won't see is a 20-30 goal striker and as we know, that is the benchmark on here for all Rangers strikers.
26 Jan 2026 12:07:59
Mph it very happy with what I see in Chermiti, and some see nothing and I'm very cool with that as well.
26 Jan 2026 12:09:43
It would have been great to have had Dessers this season.
Too late now, but he should never have been sold.
26 Jan 2026 12:12:09
I've notched more goals than him in the over 35's and I've only played a handful of games. and that's from midfield!
Pitchforks and shark barriers at the ready!
26 Jan 2026 12:17:24
Mph, Dessers brought they goals mate, and i loved him playing for us, but we never won the league with the goals he brought, Chermiti could be in a league winning team with a fraction of his goals, but Chermiti overall ability is a level up from Dessers, easily imo.
26 Jan 2026 12:59:40
Surely if our No.9 is only good at linking play, holding it up or being a target man for long balls…he's not a Rangers No.9.
I do think Chermiti has some good attributes, I just don't think he can be our main striker. Especially when we are barely creating from anywhere else.
Aasgaard should be doing what Chermiti is achieving now, and our No.9 should be scoring 20 goals a season.
You're completely correct to say that IF Chermiti was scoring as well as what else he is doing for us just now, he would never be a Rangers player. But he's not. And we need someone to score on a regular basis.
EHL, you available on a free this Jan?
26 Jan 2026 13:14:34
Mystar Dessers scored plenty goals just about everywhere he's been and in Europe mate, i think big Chermiti has all the attributes to be better, but IMHO not better just now, also taking into account Chermiti has barely played much first team game time, so not much to compare them with. I'm hoping he'll just get better and better with game time though ?.
26 Jan 2026 13:53:16
Mystar for someone bored with people talking about Chermiti you do a lot of talking about him, let's just agree to disagree and let's see what he contributes from now til the end of the season, for 9 million I would like a striker who can both score and have other attributes to his game, edouard at Celtic cost the same and he could do both so not too much to expect from our 'star' striker, even idah at 9 million last year who was hopeless contributed goals to celtics league win, in the same way as a goalie wouldn't be judged on his ability with the ball at his feet or a defender judged on chances created Chermiti won't and can't be judged on his effort, pace or supposedly brilliant hold-up play his job is to contribute goals as it was for any other Rangers striker and that's how he'll be judged, marco negri was hopeless outside the box, he had over 30 goals by christmas, I know what sort of striker I like better- and the worrying thing is Miovski is as bad if not worse, the team have improved in the past couple of months in a lot of ways but the need for a goalscoring striker is glaringly obvious.
26 Jan 2026 13:53:49
Boy blue definitely has more ability mate, hopefully goals come but he brings more to the team in my opinion, though we lacked that presence up top yesterday.
26 Jan 2026 13:55:43
Boy blue I loved big Dessers mate.
26 Jan 2026 15:56:28
Utter nonsense about Dessers not winning league with us and if Chermiti does is an argument that he is better? That is brilliant and tells me everything I need to know. You haven't kicked a ball in anger ever ?.
26 Jan 2026 18:06:00
Not thinking Chermiti has far better ability as a footballer than Dessers that tells me enough.
26 Jan 2026 20:45:20
Yes his ability and involvement has improved, but that needs to bring goals from him or others with the improved play, if it does great, but as it stands he won't be scoring Dessers numbers, and that's where our fickle support will judge him, everyone on here knows that.
