fan media tend to get fed what the club wants to put out there with the odd titbit of info to keep them sweet IMO.

Angus to be fair to Joshua Barrie he's becoming quite a good journalist been a couple things he's broke that's been no where before him. Raskin deal being an extra year being one of them. Agree the rest just get fed what the club want them to here.

Wishy, I was a big fan of fan media - going back to the original fanzine days.
Nowadays though they've followed the mainstream media in their quest for click and produce some amount of click bait nonsense - I understand this is how they make money, but between the mainstream media and the fan media there's so much noise produced purely with the intent of clicks.

Wishy perhaps a bit wide sweeping but the exception proves the rule down they say. normal sports media isn't always better and the lack of deep diving sports journalism these days is sad really. it doesn't matter what paper you open the stories, in the main, are all exactly the same, just written by different copywriters.
so rather than get a lead from x and actually see if it is true they just print it as part of a story. Same with fan media they get the story and print it without any checking of facts.
just yearn for the days of true journalism I suppose.

Used to go on my old bus, Chris Jack is a very nice guy, to call him a creep for me is poor form, obviously unless he's done something to you personally but if it's just for reporting Rangers stuff is pretty wide.

I totally agree Angus but I feel Josh Barrie does do a good bit of research in his pieces, I always enjoy reading his stuff and find them to be knowledgeable and well put together. And fair play EHL, feel kind of the same myself with a lot of it.
